Besides, we can SEE at the begining Dimash playing the piano and I liked very much the contrast of their clothing, while she is wearing a Beautiful stunning dress, he dresses as a rock Star!! This was in Almaty, Kazakhstan in 2017. It was filmed between episodes 3 and 4 of The Singer, so the end of January, the beginning of February. Everyone misses the fact that while Zarina was singing the aria, Dimash was playing the piano. They show his hands for a few seconds.

I seem to remember reading that Zarina, like Sarah Brightman, originally sang pop and then decided to train as an opera singer; she studied in London for a while, I believe. Did you notice Dimash was playing the piano at the beginning? It’s a very brief moment, and most people miss it!

A white sofa that's still white 😍😂 You're right that we need more of these spectacles, especially as clearly a lot of love went into this as well ❤️ The Universiade is an international sports event between university teams. This is from the opening ceremony of the Winter version in Almaty, 2017. Denis Ten also competed & won gold! I'm not sure if he & Dimash met at this occasion, it's unlikely since Dimash was only flown in for the performance while being busy with Singer in China. They met for the first time in June 2017 if I'm correct, although they already were each other's fan. But it's interesting, this early connection between them. This year's Winter Universiade was held in Lake Placid in the States this past month, and Kazakhstan did quite well!
The pianist at the beginning was Dimash 🥰 he flew back from China in between episodes of Singer to do this performance as well as having to learn a song in Mandarin which he had never sung in before, and all in one week! 💖

One of our fellow dears told me about a year ago it was Dimash. As I watched it again I could see it was so. Lovely couch William. Another reactor postulates that maybe when the video was reuploaded it lost cohesion, so it looks like lip sync, as the dears know Dimash does not like lip syncing. But then you only mentioned Zarina's part to the lip sync, and not Dimash's. Lol.

I loved this production. It is my understanding that it was Dimash's birthday and he flew to where this took place in the middle of The Singer contest to sing with Zarina. She is Kazakh as well and they have known each other for a while. She later said it was an honor to sing on with him on his birthday. I think that is how it went down. I listened to another one of her songs, can't remember the name. I am not sure it was an opera piece, yes it was Adagio. I didn't care for her fast vibrato, reminded me of a very old fashioned way of doing it. I don't think she did that in the Adagio piece, it is on RUclips if you look her up. We bought a gorgeous white sectional and we bred Labradors for years. It has never been uncovered, blankets cover it all the time. Why did I buy a white couch? Always nice to see you
Hello William. Lip syncing is one of those taboos among many of Dimash’s dears: “No, Dimash doesn’t need to lip sync”, “He’s real”, etc. However, we do know that some of the televised performances (especially from Russia) are lip synced because of rules about live performances (if there is even a small chance that an artist may say something out of line, it’s better safe than sorry.). I don’t have much of a complaint about this other than the naysayers who criticize and cry “fake”! We know that Dimash is capable of singing live and prefers it, but circumstances sometimes prevail. I must of missed you doing this review-I just saw it. I just looked her up-she's a Kazakh opera singer and has a Masters in music from a London University and graduated with honors. She's 9 yrs older than Dimash (in case anyone was curious). She sure sings beautifully. I love when he does duets-of course I love when he sings solo too lol. Hmmm, guess I just love Dimash's singing.

There's usually an easy way you can tell if Dimash is singing live, you can see his larynx raised and an indentation in his throat when he's pushing higher notes and you can see it here at the 6:59 mark onward on this video...Zarina is not singing live because she's not using a mic like Dimash and I can't imagine the head mic she's using would be able to take the power of her operatic voice and not distort.
Yes, I believe it was pre-recorded :) Sometimes it`s a requirement with big events such as this one. Could also be a bad sync image v.s. sound, but the silly little beige mic, and some other minor things make me inclined to think it`s more likely pre-recorded, closely before the event most likely. The ornaments (insert correct term instead of ornaments) in soprano register that Dimash does at the beginning (after the high mix, when he flips into soprano register) are some of my favorites :) The other soprano ornaments that I love are in the performance of "Unforgettable Day" on The Singer : ruclips.net/video/Jm_HbzEfW-w/видео.html - very similar to a piece from something classical, if anybody recognizes what it`s similar to, let me know :) William ? 😁🙏

Zarina confirmed it was lipsynced, allegedly. I havent seen the proof of that claim but at least to be its obviously lipsynced. Does it matter? Not really.

Doesnt mean anything Dimash and Zarina cant sing their arses off. They can. Its stupid to think they cant. They lipsync to protect their voices (or if its forced by the event)

You are totally wrong, this was a rigorous live performance. The small flaws in the synchronization of the audio with the image come from the editing work of this sporting event since, in case you don't know, it was not a concert. I saw an interview with Zarina Altinbayeva and she talks with great admiration about Dimash's voice, work capacity and the several times that he had to fly from China to Astana for long rehearsal sessions to make the technical assistance of the audio devices work perfectly (is well known that on those days he flew within China and to Astana 72 times in 40 days, if it's not an absolute record for a passenger, it is a very good average). It's even Dimash at the piano who plays at the beginning of the song. No hard feelings, but I tell you not to affirm what you do not know with certainty.

Yes, especially as she descends the stairs - that last high note was Dimash, not Zarina. The switch is not very noticeable, until you listen for it.

A white sofa that's still white 😍😂 You're right that we need more of these spectacles, especially as clearly a lot of love went into this as well ❤️ The Universiade is an international sports event between university teams. This is from the opening ceremony of the Winter version in Almaty, 2017. Denis Ten also competed & won gold! I'm not sure if he & Dimash met at this occasion, it's unlikely since Dimash was only flown in for the performance while being busy with Singer in China. They met for the first time in June 2017 if I'm correct, although they already were each other's fan. But it's interesting, this early connection between them. This year's Winter Universiade was held in Lake Placid in the States this past month, and Kazakhstan did quite well!
The pianist at the beginning was Dimash 🥰 he flew back from China in between episodes of Singer to do this performance as well as having to learn a song in Mandarin which he had never sung in before, and all in one week! 💖

One of our fellow dears told me about a year ago it was Dimash. As I watched it again I could see it was so. Lovely couch William. Another reactor postulates that maybe when the video was reuploaded it lost cohesion, so it looks like lip sync, as the dears know Dimash does not like lip syncing. But then you only mentioned Zarina's part to the lip sync, and not Dimash's. Lol.

I loved this production. It is my understanding that it was Dimash's birthday and he flew to where this took place in the middle of The Singer contest to sing with Zarina. She is Kazakh as well and they have known each other for a while. She later said it was an honor to sing on with him on his birthday. I think that is how it went down. I listened to another one of her songs, can't remember the name. I am not sure it was an opera piece, yes it was Adagio. I didn't care for her fast vibrato, reminded me of a very old fashioned way of doing it. I don't think she did that in the Adagio piece, it is on RUclips if you look her up. We bought a gorgeous white sectional and we bred Labradors for years. It has never been uncovered, blankets cover it all the time. Why did I buy a white couch? Always nice to see you

Hello William. Lip syncing is one of those taboos among many of Dimash’s dears: “No, Dimash doesn’t need to lip sync”, “He’s real”, etc. However, we do know that some of the televised performances (especially from Russia) are lip synced because of rules about live performances (if there is even a small chance that an artist may say something out of line, it’s better safe than sorry.). I don’t have much of a complaint about this other than the naysayers who criticize and cry “fake”! We know that Dimash is capable of singing live and prefers it, but circumstances sometimes prevail. I do believe that she is lip sinking, but I'm not sure about Dimash. I know that in Russia, they often insist on it. I must of missed you doing this review-I just saw it. I just looked her up-she's a Kazakh opera singer and has a Masters in music from a London University and graduated with honors. She's 9 yrs older than Dimash (in case anyone was curious). She sure sings beautifully. I love when he does duets-of course I love when he sings solo too lol. Hmmm, guess I just love Dimash's singing.

There's usually an easy way you can tell if Dimash is singing live, you can see his larynx raised and an indentation in his throat when he's pushing higher notes and you can see it here at the 6:59 mark onward on this video...Zarina is not singing live because she's not using a mic like Dimash and I can't imagine the head mic she's using would be able to take the power of her operatic voice and not distort.

Yes, I believe it was pre-recorded :) Sometimes it`s a requirement with big events such as this one. Could also be a bad sync image v.s. sound, but the silly little beige mic, and some other minor things make me inclined to think it`s more likely pre-recorded, closely before the event most likely. The ornaments (insert correct term instead of ornaments) in soprano register that Dimash does at the beginning (after the high mix, when he flips into soprano register) are some of my favorites :) The other soprano ornaments that I love are in the performance of "Unforgettable Day" on The Singer : ruclips.net/video/Jm_HbzEfW-w/видео.html - very similar to a piece from something classical, if anybody recognizes what it`s similar to, let me know :) William ? 😁🙏

Quite a different approach from Sarah Brightman's original version, but I love it! Zarina confirmed it was lipsynced, allegedly. I havent seen the proof of that claim but at least to be its obviously lipsynced. Does it matter? Not really.

This is, of course, lip sync. They don't do it any other way at such mixed concerts.
You are totally wrong, this was a rigorous live performance. The small flaws in the synchronization of the audio with the image come from the editing work of this sporting event since, in case you don't know, it was not a concert. I saw an interview with Zarina Altinbayeva and she talks with great admiration about Dimash's voice, work capacity and the several times that he had to fly from China to Astana for long rehearsal sessions to make the technical assistance of the audio devices work perfectly (is well known that on those days he flew within China and to Astana 72 times in 40 days, if it's not an absolute record for a passenger, it is a very good average). It's even Dimash at the piano who plays at the beginning of the song. No hard feelings, but I tell you not to affirm what you do not know with certainty.
