This is underrated for many, but for me, it's one of my favourite interactions between Walt and Jesse, because it proves that in this fourth season the relationship of these two was turbulent. Gus manipulated Jesse so Walt can't use him to conspire against him, and the whole scenario was difficult not only for Walt, but for Jesse, because he was unsure on who he can trust: the person who used him from the beggining but was the closest thing as a father figure for him, or someone who, despite wanting to kill him in previous occasions, told him he saw potential on him? Walt tracking his moves felt like a betrayal for Pinkman, because Heisenberg only cared for himself and his life for the whole season (which is true), but let's not forget that Fring knew Walt was smart enough to figure out his plan, but Walt sounded selfish saying: "It's all about me" to his pupile. Jesse thought once more that White saw him as an imbecile and didn't care, and this fight between the two was the drop that filled the glass, because Jesse only wanted an advice from his partner to deal with the Cartel problem, but Mr. White only told him he knew that he wasn't doing what he was told, and told him to "screw things up as always", so...

Basically, this is the reason Season 5B happened: because of Walt's needless pettiness. Like, on learning of the assignment Jesse will be doing for Gus in Mexico, Walt should've offered to help Jesse, then "let slip" that Gus is targeting his family. While it'd be just a lie at this point in time, it's later suggested that Gus was indeed planning to target his family anyway. Jesse might surely have helped Walt kill Gus because harming innocents is something Jesse is against. Then Walt could've covertly removed the bug once he gains Jesse's full support.
Instead, Walt reveals he has been bugging Jesse to track Gus, and spitefully curses Jesse to die in Mexico, "rotting in a Mexican barrel in the desert", clearly incensed. Which results in this fight, at which point Jesse breaks off with Walt and fully becomes Gus's accomplice. So When Gus threatens Walt's family later, Jesse coldly brushes Walt off when he asks for help because of the aforementioned fight. Walt is so desperate to bring Jesse back to his side and gain edge over Gus that he decides to poison Brock and uses some psychological manipulation to let Jesse think that Gus did it. And when Jesse ultimately finds out the truth about Brock in season 5B, he turns definitively against Walt and decides to help Hank.

Walt should've told Jessie he was following him in case of emergency, company or something, not outright telling him that he bugged his car. If Jessie had been Walt's side all along, he never would've have to poison the boy thus could've avoided Hank's criminal prosecution.
