Husband Ross Massey heard Sound and Vision on student radio station at Tennessee Tech in 1977 walking thru student centre, and it was a peak! We saw Bowie in Nashville in spring 1978, and it is on You Tube. Ross introduced himself at TGI Fridays that night. Ross tried to write a check to him, but older man (RCA?) told Mr. Bowie "no." Mr. Bowie chearfully then said, "I will perform a feat of magic before your very eyes." He tore Fridays place mat apart and autographed it! Ross saw him at Earl's Court a few months later; no one compares!
