About the same time, while they were shooting the Matrix in Australia, I was working for the Police and Community Youth Club, we were doing a fundraiser for disadvantaged youth called Sneaker Day. I phoned Fox studios and asked to speak to Keanu. Surprisingly, they put me through. I told him we were looking for celebrity sneakers to frame and auction off for charity. He took his shoes off, signed them and posted them off to me. He is an amazing and caring man.
I feel like people hear these type of stories and say "aww that so beautiful " then when they come upon a similar situation they are the people who just stand by and watch.
I once came upon someone trying to push their car through an intersection. I pulled over and ran over through traffic to help. Got him out of traffic. He didn't thank me or say anything. Just gave me a dirty look like he could do it himself. It was off-putting and some people might not want to help again after that.

I once was walking in the mall and from faraway saw an East Asian foreigner, an old man, suddenly fall from the top of the escalator down to midway due to a misstep probably due to his luggage (i'm not sure as I was far away), and one of my countrymen, a woman, who was just about to ride the escalator, shouted "Help! Help! Help the old man!" and then proceeded to turn and walk away like it was nothing. Her faced looked like "I don't care about the man, my role is done". Like WTF! was she just there just to shout? She was one of the people nearest to the scene! Good thing there were others who helped the poor old man.

Keanu has been one of my biggest heroes since I was a teen. Kind, humble, compassionate and generous!! Many years ago, I went to see DogStar at Prince's former night club in Minneapolis, MN. Because I wanted a good spot, I was there super early. A girl in the line with me was just sooo happy, so I asked her why. She said that it had been her birthday the day before and she was in a music store picking out a guitar. Keanu Reeves was ALSO in that same store and actually BOUGHT the guitar and all the accessories for her AND gave her a ticket for the show the next day. This is the man that is my hero!!! I've grown up watching Keanu. Im 42 and just seem to appreciate him more each time I see something online about him. I guess we like to believe that our fav actors or musicians are great people and most of the time they're not that nice. About the same time, while they were shooting the Matrix in Australia, I was working for the Police and Community Youth Club, we were doing a fundraiser for disadvantaged youth called Sneaker Day. I phoned Fox studios and asked to speak to Keanu. Surprisingly, they put me through. I told him we were looking for celebrity sneakers to frame and auction off for charity. He took his shoes off, signed them and posted them off to me. He is an amazing and caring man.

I once came upon someone trying to push their car through an intersection. I pulled over and ran over through traffic to help. Got him out of traffic. He didn't thank me or say anything. Just gave me a dirty look like he could do it himself.

I once was walking in the mall and from faraway saw an East Asian foreigner, an old man, suddenly fall from the top of the escalator down to midway due to a misstep probably due to his luggage (i'm not sure as I was far away), and one of my countrymen, a woman, who was just about to ride the escalator, shouted "Help! Help! Help the old man!" and then proceeded to turn and walk away like it was nothing. Her faced looked like "I don't care about the man, my role is done". Like WTF! was she just there just to shout? She was one of the people nearest to the scene! Good thing there were others who helped the poor old man.

Because I wanted a good spot, I was there super early. A girl in the line with me was just sooo happy, so I asked her why. She said that it had been her birthday the day before and she was in a music store picking out a guitar. Keanu Reeves was ALSO in that same store and actually BOUGHT the guitar and all the accessories for her AND gave her a ticket for the show the next day. This is the man that is my hero!!! I wonder if he ever got the shirt that I designed and made for that show...????

I love Octavia. She is awesome and I love Keanu more now than I did before. He is a rare gem in a world that caters to selfish egotistical jerks who think they are better than everyone because they are famous. I love how genuine Keanu is and how down to earth he is. He seems like the kind of person you could sit and talk to and know that no matter what you tell him, he won't judge you. I would love to meet him someday just to tell him how awesome he is

I have to admit that I had never especially liked Mr. Keanu Revees as an actor, but knowing how wonderful human being he is, my perspective changed and I began to appreciate him, in such a way that I have returned to see his movies.
