  • The black sofa in the Borden sitting room is instantly identified by many, with no further explanation, as the scene of the crimes and with Lizzie Borden. We explore the sitting room, the parlor and the front hall where Andrew returns home to be murdered, and the stairwell where a killer stealthily stalks on silent feet to climb up to Abby Borden in the guest room above. At the seventh step, looking left, Mrs. Churchill would spot the body of Abby Borden, lifeless on the carpet.

    It’s incredible how she got away with murder and people to this day still think she’s innocent. With all the evidence that clearly proves her guilt.

      Yes, Lizzie has champions galore today. Some important details never made it to the trial. It pays to hire the best lawyer no matter how much it costs! :-)

      Incredible, if indeed guilty, how she pulled it off.

    Lizzy were so distraught over the death of her parents that she canceled her fishing trip. But she did go mansion shopping as a coping mechanism.

      She didn't waste any time after her acquittal buying a swanky house in the best part of town- and taking herself on a trip with galpals to see the Columbian Expo in Chicago :-)

      My sympathy has always been for Abby. I believe she endured a lot.

      Abby was the typical, unloving, jealous stepmother who treated her step daughters with contempt and hatred! Trust me! My beloved mother had an Abby in her life!
      I know Lizzie killed her, and she probably had a 100’s of reasons why…..

    Do we know if the wallpaper and carpets are copies of the originals? Is any decoration or wallpaper original in this house?

    • @LizzieBordenWarpsandWefts
      @LizzieBordenWarpsandWefts  10 месяцев назад +1

      Nothing original in the house except radiators. Floral patterns were used when the house was decorated to open in 1996 as a B&B to give the feel of 1892 carpets and wallpapers. There are not many images of other rooms.

    I can see it happen as it did in 1882. I have the actual original movie The Legend Of Lizzie Borden. Played by Elizabeth Montgomery she is the 6th cousin of Lizzie Borden and that is how I know the "REAL" Lizzie Borden killed her step mother Abbey Borden and her father, Andrew Borden

      @@christinehaley8097Elizabeth Montgomery was a 6th cousin of Lizzie Borden. Apparently OP believes the fictional film script was the absolute truth 😂
