    Interesting video with multiple challenges that you both dealt with admirably. I am always impressed by how competent you both are. Sorry you missed the Arctic ocean on this trip but as you say you can do it next year. I felt reassured about your safety measures for sleeping in you truck.

      Awww thanks mom! We felt pretty safe in the truck! Way better than being in a tent with the wild animals :)

    The Dalton Highway reminds me of the Alaska Highway from Watson Lake to Whitehorse when I was a young kid.....although this section of the Alaska Highway was much more turny and twisty.
    Still loving your Alaska Adventure in Nomadness!
    As for audio books - I have listened to a lot of Stephen King. There was a trilogy: Mr Mercedes, Finders Keepers, End of Watch and I also listened to The Institute, and Outsiders. All these books have a character named Holly Gibney .

      Hey Shaun! Slowly getting caught up with responding to comments! I bet the highway has been improved a lot since then. Ooooh I bet Stephen King would be suspenseful during a road trip!!!

    Wow, fifty bucks to fix a small leak in your tire, ouch. You guys need to carry some "Slime"; I love this product just got some used on old bike tires, wagon tires and a stubborn slow leak in a mower tire, now I go everywhere with a bottle of this stuff. Look it up on you tube, I'm telling you, If I where you I'd make sure I had a least two good size bottles of this stuff. Saved me money and time and hassle from taking tires in to get repaired. You can use this stuff then later also get the tire repaired, but sometimes no need too! Smiles to you guys. SA!

      LOL...yes everything is very expensive that far north! Thanks for the tip, I'll go look up Slime right now!

    I really enjoy the two of you, you turned out to be an expert in the changing of truck tires. But the real question I have for you which was better the beast stroganoff or MRAs. Only one of you can answer that question.

      Hi Craig!! Ronda has never had an MRE so I have to answer that question LOL. I think MRE's are better! LOL

    So nice to see this again. I rode my Harley to the Arctic Circle (from Seattle) back in 1999. This video is a reminder of how it exactly was. Fond memories. Too bad about the Article Ocean! I too hope to get up that far sometime. Did you stop and investigate the pipeline? It amazed me at how large the pipe’s diameter is.

      Hi Dallas! That's awesome you rode her Harley up there!! That must have been an incredible trip! Yes, we did check out the pipeline. It's 4' in diameter, quite the engineering marvel!! Hope you're doing well!

    Great video! What TPMS do you use? Does it also cover your trailer tires?

    • @AdventuresInNoMadness
      @AdventuresInNoMadness  3 года назад +1

      Hi Nancy, sorry for the slow reply! Getting caught up from our lack of connectivity in Canada. The TPMS on the truck is the automated built in one. We have a Tire Minder TPMS for the trailer and a readout attached to our front windshield

    This is a very interesting true story.
    THUNDERSTRUCK by Erik Larson. About a murderer crossing the Atlantic and the first Telegraph crossing the Atlantic leading to his capture.
