Artistry is not something copiable, it’s a talent. Young skaters as well as so-called the Olympic gold medalist try to copy movements and outfits of the great forerunners, however, NO ONE can copy Daisuke's movement. His skating is full of emotion and creativity. He knows how to create something unique out of his inspiration. I can even enjoy the process he is building up for a piece of work from the premier to the closing day, from opening of the season to the end of the season. Treasure every encounter, for it will never recur.
"Just a dream, isn't he..." I couldn't hold my tears for the hole 15 minutes of this. He needs to be inducted in the World Figure Skating the Hall of Fame, with the greatest of all times!
I want to cry. He leaves a legacy behind him, hopefully a legacy that will remain in the minds of figure skating fans for years to come, and hopefully a legacy that maybe a future fan will come to discover and be awed by his magical ability. Whatever he does in the future, whether he chooses to return to competition or just skate professionally, I will support him. For the true beauty of figure skating he's shown us. Gosh, that was so cheesy.
A few Japenese male skaters have copied his gestures, and elements of his artistic interpretation and delivery, Hanyu being one of them, but however hard another skater tries to replace him they cannot as he will remain totallly unique.
