Hopefully useful for other steadicam operators, directors of photography, and camera operators as well as anyone into movie making, filmmaking and cinematography. Shot with a insta360 one x, a Blackmagic pocket cinema camera 4k and M-1 volt steadicam with a g70-x arm.
Fascinating to watch with your explanations. The creativeness of the last one is so good and the work to capture it all as it went off, brilliant.

My understanding is that you do not need permits in NYC as long as you do not use a tripod or light stands etc.
It's like that in LA too. But it also has to be under a certain size crew

I've actually received credit for a couple of the videos I've done(gaffer or key/dolly grip); usually because it was a really small crew and they included it in the video descriptions

One thing to note with the OK Go video: you’ll notice all the gags get bigger and bigger as you go along. This is very specifically because the small tricks are the least reliable/repeatable ones - you want to put the risky stuff up front and the solid stuff at the back so by the time you’re halfway through you can be confident that the take is going to at least be ok. So tiny ball bearings (chaotic) in the beginning and bowling balls (super predictable) at the end.

I would love to. But, I looked for a really long time to find the ones I did. I think I saw one new one since then but it's not enough to make a full video on.
One of the best one take music video is from Poland. Song "Początek" was shot entirely by mastershoot. They used for this Tiffen M-1 with Omega and Alexa Mini with Panavision T-Series 40mm. They also recorded the singing during the mastershoot. You can find whole making of on RUclips. "MAKING OF do klipu Początek" and song itself Męskie Granie Orkiestra 2018 (Kortez, Podsiadło, Zalewski) - Początek (LIVE).
