- Sometimes it is hard choosing the right bike for your riding style, but it doesn’t have to be, if your thinking about getting a 2 stroke dirt bike, these are the most popular engine sizes to consider.
Hello, the 250 is a perfect displacement for everything, but the sensation, the explosive and rabid engine of the 125 makes me smile... I, at 60 years old, enjoy a 125... greetings from Spain.
@@pepemanolo390 thats a great and very creative way of explaining the 125! Thanks for sharing!!
I got a 2023 YZ85LW 2 stroke and I absolutely LOVE that thing! Its my first 2 stroke I've ever owned, so when I bought it thats part of the reason why I wanted to try a 85 first since I was admittedly a little scared of 2 strokes at first. I'm also a very skinny guy and I'm only 5'7, so it actually turned out perfect for me. I want to buy a bigger 2 stroke in the future eventually. Not to sell the 85 but keep it and add to the collection lol. I'm really intrigued by the KTMs and possibly a Husqvarna
A 250x is a beast and scares me a bit. But I get that feeling on superbikes. It's put me over the bars a cpl times now.
Im trying to decide between Yz85 and Yz125. Only for fun mostly for the streets and probably once a week. And I don’t have no body to ride with so yeah! Im 5’8” … excellent video!!!
I ride solo a lot. I think youll like both but the 125 has a lot more power. Let me know what you decide! Thanks for sharing
@@RIDEreviewRELOAD I had a Yz125 2001 when I was 15 in CT lol but now that im 30 and living in the US Virgin Island I think im interested in the Yz85 and the only way its shipping it from Miami or Puerto Rico 🙁🙁🙁

Yamaha isn’t the only manufacturer making 2 strokes.
Name another Japanese brand still making full sized 2 strokes.
Just subbed 👍
Welcome!
Take both bikes out man....show us the difference. I'm in NC also....you mentioned going to Durham town. I haven't been there but I want to.
You got it! I plan on it. Its definitely worth the drive.
Sweet vid, I just opened my big tow up kicking her over with sandals. I thought I needed a tourniquet for my toe. It hit the peg and ouch its nasty.

Man! Thats a lot of cool toys🤙🏻 thats sweet man we have same bikes. Ive been riding the 250 as of late, however nothing more fun than the 125!
@@RIDEreviewRELOAD I havnt taken the 250 out on the trails yet, took it apart and just did some maintenance on it rebuild carb did the JD jet, and force reeds 3 I just have left is the sprocket that I’m doing a 13-49 and chain and it be ready for the trails
@@chrislur dang!! youll be ready for GNCC!
@chrislur I put a 13 and left rear at 50. Put a 11 oz flywheel weight and sprung it for my weight. Much more forgiving in the slower tight stuff but still rips when ya want.
Alot of people suggest not to get a 125 2 stroke in my area, because its an 02 YZ. it's too old and it might takes a lot of money to bring it back up and running. I am so torn. I love 125, but dang 02 is way to old.
Yeah get one 06 and up if possible
Just stick with Yamaha, quit looking over the fence 😝
😂 fair enough
