You can't say that it's a "articulated locomotive" without mentioning the pivoting part of the locomotive which separates the upper part of the locomotive with a pivot connected to the leading wheels otherwise it would become a "duplex" engine which would only have a rigid frame yet high speed but less use on the tracks and a fuel consumer
Please make a video on Mallet Steam locos of India. Those were the unusual steam locos that worked in our rlys at that time. If i am not wrong there were some Steam Locos purely manufactured in the American Soil i.e., talking about MSM steam Locos whose numbers were 900, 1000 and one of them was named New York. And another locomotive was similar like the Jupiter Steam Loco used in the meeting of two railroads the Western Pacific and the Union Pacific to which we call The Trans Continental Railroad.😊
