Let me put the court scene in context and how it aligns with politics today. Al was sleeping on the couch. An intruder broke in and brushed Al's hand. Al thought he was Peggy and grabbed his butt. The intruder got indignant and woke up Al accusing Al of touching his butt without consent. Al punched him because the intruder broke into his house. In retaliation, the intruder sued him for touching his butt and punching him in the face. At the end, since Al didn't have any money anyway and he had nothing to lose he punched the intruder again in the courtroom. He sued the intruder for breaking his hand on his face.
