I'm surprised with some of the negative reviews. I was so impressed with the ruclips.net/user/postUgkxMwYg0MOXR4M-oGeyBsNSYe1aPOUoRH6D cage that I got the lat pulldown attachment that goes with it. It is equally outstanding. I don't have one complaint other than putting it together is a job. The instructions and packaging of the parts are very well designed and organized. Also, I stripped and damaged the pull down cable the first day, admitting it was my stupid fault, and they quickly replaced it at no charge. I'm 6'5, 280lbs and fit in the cage just fine. Glenn B
great video but can i ask sth...and ''stall mats'' i dont know how to ask for it in greece ///also measuraments of the centre ply wood piece and measuraments of osb wood //please
It works better to cut the center, high grade plywood down to 42" wide. You can use the 6" cut off outside the rubber matting by splitting it to 2 - 3" strips to fill out the full 8' width.
Great content. Just finished mine. Just curious how long did you wait after you put the last coat of polyurethane. The can says to wait 24hr-3 days for normal use. Is that necessary? How long after did you wait to stage your equipment? Thanks
Anyway to build a weather resistant one? Looking to build a outdoor back yard gym, currently have a canopy covering gym equipment, would love to build a platform for rack and deadlifts.. any input is appreciated
Iam not a powerlifter and don't really do olymic lifts. Do you think i will be better off with just stall horse mats or should i get a platform to protect my epoxy floors? Also I have a small slope in garage and dont wanna be lifting on an uneven surface. If i decide to go just with stall mats i wonder how 🤔 should i level them? They are selling me an 8x8 platform here in my own town for $200. If i buy platform hkw can i level it? Sorry for all the questions and I hope you can help me. Thank u.
@Little RV BIG Life, thanks for the video. If my whole floor Is stall mats do you think I need the plywood for a more stable base to lift? (Not using crazy weight) or is the stall mats study enough? Thx
The best lifting is done on a sturdy base. The more give that you have under you will cause instability. I would recommend the plywood under the area where you are lifting and the stall mats will protect your floor if the weights are dropped.
Did staining the OSB wood make the wood a lot less slippery? I have a problem with my platform where my wood is slippery and is an issue. Just wondering if staining offers more than just the look of the wood.
did you end up fixing up the platform like you wanted? been tryna also add something to the edges to make my platform better since my cuts werent too good as well haha maybe post a home gym setup vid? thanks!
I can absolutely add a home gym setup video. I did do some edging but haven't added anything under the toes of the rack. it seems to be fairly well supported as is.

Nice man. A still shot of the final product would’ve been nice to see at the end of the video, but good content nonetheless
Very nicely done!
Why is there no end where you show the whole thing finished with the rack on it? Sigh.
What's size of screw did you use

Ohio seems to be the mecca of home gyms.
Actually we are located in Iowa but still a big fan of Ohio.
How's the cement underneath holding up only using one plywood layer? Most I've seen use two ply layers then the stall mats.
There have been no issues. I just had to lift up the platform due to water getting into the basement.

do you think it's safe and stable to put this on low pill carpet in my basement?
How big are the low grade plywood or long
What was the size/dimensions of the rack that you put on this 8x8 platform?
Good work.
Also nice hat.
O-H!
looks great, is the red oak plywood thin veneer? any issues with it bubbling or lifting?
I have built others like it and Baltic Burch holds up better. The oak is a thinner veneer than the Burch.
I’m still confused about the squat rack 5:00 what should I do different before I start
عالی بود👍
That was great👌

Measurements of the low grade and high grade?
4x8 3/4”
What are the dimensions of the high grade ply wood and the stall mats
4x8
Is that a Titan rack?
What if the floor is not level? Any suggu?
I’d recommend sanding the plywood on the basement. Or buying another piece of plywood and thinning it out so it levels the grade of the floor
How thick was the bottom OSB layer? 3/4 inches?
They call it 3/4 but it's actually .688" thick which is close to 11/16.
What was the dimensions of the plywood
Full size sheets 4x8
OH!

wouldnt just a rubber floor be better? why wood?
