the part abt the passing thought of feeling stupid for following ur passion is so real. and the 1st question abt being on ur death bed and regretting not pursuing your passion also heavily resonated with me. I recently had a dream where I was gonna d!e and my last thought before I woke up was "oh no I didn't have enough time to go after xyz in this lifetime." so even while unconscious, my passion and dreams are still awake. I needed that reminder.

lately, i've been struggling to make content and to actually pursue it because i pressure myself to make it PERFECT to the nitty gritty of it all. i've been in this journey for around 11 years (~2013 era)...i want it to be so pristine (a good camera, a good mic, a good editing software which would typically cost $$$ but of course i don't have a stable income to provide that until now) to be well received by the public, but with that expectation i just fail to even START. i've been so stagnant, stuck, and lost for my content creation journey with the motivation to even turn on that camera and hit record, so the questions you presented were so eye-opening and revolutionary to me especially with the question if i was on my deathbed, would i regret dropping or never starting that passion! i honestly should just do it, say f*ck it we ball! it's for me anyway! i enjoy creating and i enjoy making videos with filming and editing it! So as cringy as it may seem, my passion is singing and dancing and I hope to one day, as wholeheartedly as a 14 year old girl can be, become a kpop idol. But my family doesn’t have the funding to let me go to Korea and it’s been weighing on my mind. But honestly this dream isn’t as far off as many would think. Besides the funding problem, I have, at least I believe, what it takes to become an idol. I’m a pretty damn good singer and pretty damn good dancer too. Not to be cocky but I’ve seen worse for both. And just a few years ago I would’ve said my dream was to be an actress in musical theater because I love singing and dancing. But the thing that sets kpop apart from musical theater in my heart is the crowd’s energy. In musical theater, people in the audience don’t cheer during a song but only after, but for kpop, they’re probably screaming during the entire thing without fail. I went to a concert earlier this year (August), and it really made me realize what I wanted to do. So after that I started really digging deep into this and getting info on the auditions processes, the debts idols would have to pay off, the schooling situation you’d have to go through in Korea, and so on. After doing this I became really restless and was almost desperate to start trying to peruse this. I honestly got so many butterflies when just thinking about what it might be like. Another thing that differentiates them for me is the community. In a theater production, the entire cast all parts ways after the show is done, and even for kpop, you part ways, supposedly, after the group disbands, but you get more than a month or two or a few years. Your entire career is spent with those members leaving way for a tighter relationship and even greater happiness in my opinion. You get to share so many more memories with them than you would a temporary cast of a show you’ll probably never do again. Sorry this is getting like really long. But if you’ve read this far, thank you for listening to me yap and vent for a few minutes.
