i said that on the post before also, just have to repeat it here: how do u even make music so emotional and yet so objective that everyone agrees on the same vibe and feelings they get from it ? for me, this is magic, and i usually listen to lofi tapes on 10hr loops
the end hit me the hardest. within this month my cousin died flying back from Afghanistan, I lost my mother in a fire, and my dog passed away. This tape made me crack, and allowed me to confront the things I let bottle up. Thank you
The last track is no joke, everytime I listen to it I just get a lot of emotions. Thank you for creating the three growing up albums A L E X, they're just part of my life.
Lit that incense, turned the music up, rolled an L...and engaged. Steezy man, your channel is probably one of the strongest medicines in my cabinet of rhythm and harmony. Thank you so much. You bring light in to darkness with your work. The ripple of peacefulness and placidity you create reaches many shores.i know this from my own experience, and reading comments. It’s a big deal. Respect.
I loss my lil bro who’s name is ALEX..as I’m sitting at his graveside now I’m listening..this is helping me release some tears fears & memories some good some bad..I loss my bro to depression & alcoholism some days I’m mad at him & others I’m sad..I may never know the hurt he faced and why living was so hard I know I Miss Him & I love Him May God Rest his soul ❤
He made this album as I entered the last year of high school. Thank you a l e x for being with me the entirety of my high school years, you have carried me through with a lesser depression
I get you. I feel the same way. And in a way you can kinda feel that exact mood throughout this project... but at the end of the day this project marks a great end to an amazing series. Really excited to see where a l e x goes next.
I guess all good things come to an end. You see, three top albums with about 60 tracks that people love and can't get enough of - that's an achievement, especially in this genre. A L E X is the first lo-fi-artist I can easily recognize tracks from in mixes, sometimes I have earworms from his tracks, I ate, drank and smoked that music to an extent I never could have with another artist. His tracks are more than chilling and steezy. Almost every track from him moved me. They'll stay with me for the rest of my life. And I think that's exactly the point where to start something fresh and get rid of the old stuff. Just before it gets redundant and meaningless.
a l e x is someone or something very special to me. He is the first and the only one who make me feel nostalgia to the childhood that i didn’t even have. Why? Cause i’m from Vietnam and i like the old things, and his music always make me imagining about the childhood of an American child especially him. A childhood with sleepovers, play in the backyard with trampoline, listen to music from 70s to 90s or play some old video games with old devices such like nintendo, gameboys, playstation,...I nearly imagine all of his memories from his past just by listen to his album, and those memories are very beautiful to me even though i didn’t have a childhood like him in the past. Everytime i listen to his music, i just wanna return to the past, become a little kid again so i can enjoy every single moments of my childhood. Always love you a l e x, always...
Amazing how music can bring up such energetic and lively emotions. Shout outs to my childhood friends! We can have that childhood joy though through meditation, yoga and diaphragmatic breathing. Let not the grey cloud overshadow the blue sky.
@@chrisgeorge4599 agree, A L E X went deeper into my heart than most other artists in general and he didnt even need to say or sing a single word for that - heck, how do u even make LOFI beats that have a vibe of universal nostalgie to them so everyone associates the same motives with them ? this guy is a wizard
a l e x was one of the first lo-fi artists i discovered and his tapes have always stuck with me for having that nostalgic sound. can't wait to hear this new tape 🤙🖤
All of his albums somehow makes me reflect on my life I hate to look back and it sometimes gets me sick but I honestly love A L E X and he’ll forever be one of my favourite lo-fi artist,, I can easily recognize when ever one of his tracks play I really do love Alex and honestly I love all his projects 💗💗
Holy guacamole that last track really touched deep man. The emotion and truth in his voice mixed with the ambiance of what feels like pure imagination soup. GG WP
Every time I play this I think about my two precious children I have and reminisce when I was their age and all the things I could remember dam smh time is flying appreciate you Steezy ‼️
Shout out to steezy thanks for always keepn it 100 . i can always count on you for the best 🎶. I discovered ALeX on your page and been a huge fan ever since. Best wishes and vibes to you bro.
Most of the time when I edit my photography I be listening to Steezy. The vibe from his music adds that little extra sauce, motivation, creativity. Thanks man!
The last song might be the most depressing shit I've ever heard in my life. It grew withing me since the first time I heard it for the first time, these three albums are part of my life and I just can't thank enough alex for this, these albums changed my life. And the last track from this one just destroys me everytime I listen to it, I just contemplate my life whenever it starts, shit gets really deep.
Been waiting for this. I can’t count the number of times I’ve listened to those first two volumes on lonely nights, or to help myself or others calm down.
Can't believe it's over. Growing up is a fitting title for these albums because i really did "grow up" with them. I'm not really a fan of lo-fi but I adored growing up vol 1, so i stuck around and kinda learned to like a l e x 's style. When vol 2 came out, i listened to it the same night it was released, studying to it and etc towards the end of sophomore year. When vol 3 dropped I did the same, but I read it was the last of growing up and it felt bittersweet. It's good that it wasn't milked forever, i'm not trying to listen to growing up vol 56 in the future, and i don't think a l e x is trying to make that lol. I drove to the beach at 3 am listening to this, was absolutely beautiful. On the way home, I heard his speech in "The End" and it totally got to me. "That's just part of growing up i guess." I have made and lost friends with these songs, I have related every song to a different experience or person that may not even be with me anymore. This is truly The End. I am growing up. So much has changed, and the songs have evolved too. Love these albums, seriously. Special place in my heart, a l e x. Can't describe enough how good these songs are
I remember hearing my first ambient music in the early 80s from Nickelodeon's Pinwheel and the short cartoon skits played some of the coolest music. I'm sure that music inspired a lot of kids or maybe I was the only one lol.
Well, the spoken word in 'The End' certainly speaks to how I used to think. It wasn't healthy to regret everything. You just have to try to do your best in every moment. There's nothing you can do about the past, so why dwell?
The first two growing up albums helped me get through rough times but formed some nostalgic memories! I have a feeling this will too
Same
This is totally how most people who liked the first two albums feel like thank you my friend

"The End" a nostalgic feeling of life, death, happiness, pain, regret, and love all symbiotically mashed together
Do you know where this words at the end have been taken from ?
Should of worn a jacket that day..

Welp, time to cover all my windows and sulk in front of my childhood television while playing PS1 games.
For real tho, this music is like food.
Can't live without it, right?

5 seconds into the beat tape and already knew it's gonna be great...
Moonlight hits different. takes me back to being a kid, having sleepovers and staying out too late. So much power in such a simple track.
