- The sun is out!!! It’s a long weekend!! That can only mean one thing in the Buckley household!
It’s BBQ time once again!!! The first one of the year! And it’s a good’un! Or is it?…james usually manages to get something wrong!
Join james & clair and the kids..and Paisley as they enjoy the warmer weather in the garden. There’s plenty of food and drink, some ball games, a very strange food combo and plenty of leftover sausages :)

Drink a glass of water while your ears are plugged. my nan did this and it works, I bet it does a similar thing to your method.
Re: hiccups - drinking a glass of water from the opposite side (so you’re bending over and your head is upside down) usually works for me. No idea why.
Block your ears and drink from a strew🤟🏽
Lay back and gargle water scares the hiccups away lol

Men and our bbq's lol. Everything is excitement from the planning what to buy, the trip to butchers, the day or two of marinating the meat, and then the time comes to stick the meat on the bbq lol
Then we spend rest of weekend raving about how great we did a job on the grill 😂

I’m disabled now and I really miss spring and autumn walks with the dog and hubby. We used to do ten miles, through the fields, railway tracks and villages. Then home for a cup of tea, and sitting in the garden 🪴 feeling content. That was when my hubby and I had quality time without children, tv, music, computer games, etc. We’re doing our hall, cloakroom, landing, and stairs. Then we’ve got the garage/mans cave to do last of all. He can’t wait to do the mans cave.

I get hiccups constantly! A coworker told me this trick and it has truly been a lifesaver!
Take a cup of water and sip it. In between sips, count aloud to 10 (sip, 1, sip, 2 etc) by the time you get to 10, they will have disappeared! Works for me everytime!

Hi James this worked for me on several occasions: Fill up a glass with water and then bend forward and drink out from the opposite side of the glass than normal.
The way u bend to do this aparantly clears the air ways . And ur welcome!
I have tried and tested this and a nice old lady from a nursing home told me over 20 years ago while I was working there and I have been doing it ever since!

My technique for getting rid of the hiccups works so well that I haven't hiccuped more than once in about 15 years. I breathe in and then breathe out as much as i possibly can, completely empty my lungs and then tense my stomach muscles as hard as i can for about 15 seconds. Works every time for me, I've tried to teach other people over the years and no one else has mastered it.
I loved the kitchen updates and yes definitely the upside down drinking water comment works James the only thing that works for me and quickly to . I get them for hours otherwise and randomly come on for no reason . looking forward to next weeks 😊👍🏻

Wow, watching those chicken thighs cook was making my mouth water. It is definitely the best meat on the bird. I had a Korean fried chicken thigh burger with mango, chilli and lime the other day and it was incredible! For Easter Sunday we went up to a family friends' place for dinner and it was even more awesome because their daughter and her two sons are home from Australia and it was the first time I'd seen them in almost a decade. Things are tough right now so we really needed a fun time and got one ❤️
I spent Easter finishing my kitchen emptied last box and house all back to normal hooray. Love the shirt x

I don’t know why people are complaining about the kitchen I loved all the updates and another great vlog as always and went pub on Saturday watch a tribute band queen and went pub Sunday and love it when you have bbqs learn something new every time with your tips and don’t jinx it James haha we want the warm weather not rain haha 😂

I would hope they don't listen to those comments too often. The bigger they get the more moaning c***s will show up, it's only natural. But the big appeal of this vlog is the authenticity of it. You get them, warts and all. Don't want it changing because they're worried what some people are gonna say.

100% works for me every time. Breathe in as much air as you possibly can, keep breathing in until your lungs are full to capacity then hold your breath for around 20 seconds. It'll make you feel dizzy but it stops my hiccups every single time I have them.
I was working for the 4 days in a pub/restaurant kitchen so I didn’t see any of the sun 😭😄 First day of my weekend yesterday and I test positive for covid for the second time 😄 so spending this week mostly in bed 😂💗 thank you for cheering me up with your vlog 🥰💗 xx
BEST CURE FOR HICCUPS
put fingers in both of your ears so you can’t hear and drink 5+ continuous gulps of a drink through a straw. Works every time. If you don’t have a straw, might have to get someone to feed you to water 😂

We get the same with our 8 year old Husky,she’ll stop,turn and look at you with a face that says ‘ how dare you say my name’ before she walks off, whereas our 5 year old German Shepard will come bounding followed by a massive leap. 😂🤣😂

Good to see you all. It was a fabulous Easter bank holiday weekend - down here in Devon, the weather was glorious and hot. Which was excellent for everyone, but me. I broke my pinky toe 3 weeks ago - I kicked my solid wood coffee table. I still can't wear shoes - the only thing I can wear are sweaty, hot sheepskin lined UGG boots. I still managed to have an amazing time, even though I was overheating. My only hiccup 'cure' is to swallow a teaspoon of granulated sugar.
🌟THIS WORKS FOR EVERYONE🌟
Block both ears by pushing your Tragus (the little nubbing bit on the outer part of your ear) into your ears and have a drink for 5-10seconds (get someone to hold glass or your ears) when finished drinking keep holding your ears for a further 5-10seconds and I bet my dogs life on it that it will stop them. If it doesn’t you did it wrong.

Definitely need more barbecuing James, lighting the coals, which brand you use etc. I’m a massive bbq fan. Don’t know if you’ve ever tried, but if you haven’t, you should definitely try some Dunns River Jamaican Jerk Marinade on chicken legs, give um a good 24 hour soak add a little extra spice if you like it hot. Definitely one of my favourites for the bbq. Happy Barbecuing My Man!

This worked for me. Fill your mouth with water, tilt your head back and swallow whilst keeping your mouth wide open. Do that a few times and the hiccups will be gone. Guarantee it.
BBQ vlogs are back!! 🍖 I love the boys' hybrid accents. My folks moved from Ayrshire to to England before I was born so I spoke very similarly as a wee one.

THIS WORKED FOR ME!!
I don’t remember whether it’s an English thing or whether it’s a Japanese thinks I’ve been living here for so long. But, drinking a shot of vinegar always instantly stops my hiccups.
The Hiccups...I found they went after throwing up..so you could try that!...I was happy with the kitchen vlogs btw :)
The hiccup cure thats always worked for me is drinking out of a glass backwards. Fill a glass with water, hold it up to your mouth as normal but drink out of the side of the cup furthest away from you. You want to tip your head forwards like your washing your hair in the sink. Have a few sips and thank me later. Just make sure you do it over a sink🤣🤣🤣
