You can say that VERY LOUD. Excellent sound work for an excellent band! I have to agree, every session I´ve heard from Audiotree is perfectly mixed and outstanding in sound. Also the videos are almost perfect, thumbs up and 5 stars! I wish we would´ve something like Audiotree over here in Germany....
Key moments: 0:50 - The Stars Are Stigmata (Love of Cartography; 2014) 6:45 - Conversations about "Great Northern" music video + music style 10:05 - Emergent (Love of Cartography; 2014) 18:57 - Conversations about the "electronic" side of things + "moving forward" with this side 23:06 - Traced in Constellations (Love of Cartography; 2014) 27:48 - Conversations about "wanderlust" + "no lyrics" 33:08 - Something Like Avalanches (Love of Cartography; 2014)
They have something that a lot of post rock groups have lost/never had. Real energy and the knack for being interestingly repetitive instead of just layering everything over and over and over and over and riding 16th notes on the 14th fret for the entire song. sleepmakeswaves, I dig.
Their intensity and emotion behind their music and performance is something that brings a tear to my eye. I don't need to have emotional singing or heartbreaking lyrics to make me get all teary-eyed and goosebumps all over. The power from these instrumentals are an absolute masterclass. I applaud this performance, really makes me miss going to live shows honestly.
Will watch this video at some point. Of far over 80 albums I discovered in 2020 (most are amazing) Love Of Cartography is number one by far. First listened to it on July 20th and 5 months later it still has that magic. My first album of them. No weak or average song, all 8 regular songs are amazing and many of them can make me cry easily. Everything is near perfection on it for me. For the duration of over 50 minutes the album always takes me far away to another planet where the band and this album is legendary and all songs are played regularly on the radio. It's a very progressive planet where the inhabitants are very positive and helpful and very open-minded. There is only 6 hours of daylight the whole year on that planet with the night sky always in colours black, deep blue and purple. It's always sad when the album ends, because I am only allowed to stay 55 minutes on that planet. Only 5 months and it's already a classic in my music world, one of the best albums ever and the last time I had to say that to a new discovered album was in August 2011.
It's been said already but holy good god his bass tone is out of this world! The subtle loops in the background add some nice depth too. These four guys just have incredible synergy.
Just found this band through the upcoming underoath tour they are doing with S.M.W and I can't say I regret looking up this band they are phenomenal this sound is insane to me.
Awesome! Brings back great memories from their concert in Budapest last year. That was one of my best live experiences in my life! And finally here is a record that show something of them :)
It was one of my most memorable concert I've ever attended. Also got a signed vinyl copy of Love of Cartography from them : 32:22 - This personal experience is definietly true: I still remember as Alex told us 'Feel free to lose yourself into this one, this one is called Emergent'. Fantastic experience
This is amazing! You know what I got this band from Chinese website. HAha the live mix engineer did fantastic job, absolutely extraordinary. I am wondering how their live performance put all effects together. This is truly amazing!
+Tia Bailey Looks kinda like a Fender Jazzmaster body, with a custom transparent neck and head stock. Also, the head looks like a Martin, but I think it might just be a custom set up.
the engineers at audiotree are exceptional. they do an outstanding job each and every performance! some of the best live mixing I've ever heard!
Fuckin word.

Unfortunately Germany lacks bands who would be worth inviting ...
excepts this.
That's true I never saw a bad performance there. Good engineers and good bands!
The is one of the coolest bass tones I've heard in any post-rock band
They should have a more postpunkesque tone rather than this metal tone
They should have whatever bloody tone they want
Try Caspian Arcs Of Command
I love Caspian, great song, but I prefer this guy's bass tone haha
Its that real 'railey' Ampeg sound that makes it sound real good
One of the best post rock bands on the planet....
For you

Incredible sound. Drummer is excellent!
The drummer is good.

sleepmakeswaves, I dig.
That bass sounds monsterous
Good adjective.
Seriously, just how amazingly good is this entire performance? Both musicians and audio engineers. Incredible.
drummer burned 5000 calories in first song alone haha these guys are nuts!
sick nasty bass toneage

This band is great. I've loved post-rock since Slint.
Just found this band through the upcoming underoath tour they are doing with S.M.W and I can't say I regret looking up this band they are phenomenal this sound is insane to me.
I really love their music. Also liked their logo for years, and now i consider getting it tatooed !

Is this guitarist from Meniscus? Fuck yeah!
I didn't know post rock guitarists could go so wild.
3:20 are these guys on drugs? 3:30 okay these guys are on drugs and the drug is this groove
love it
dat bass sound at 2:54. Audiotree you are officialy the sickest bastards ever!
what can someone tell me about that handheld device they use on guitar in second song?
It's an Ebow: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EBow One of my favorite bands that used it quite a bit later on is Smashing Pumpkins.
Does the lead guitar player for the band Meniscus always play with SMWaves too? This is a great band too and I notice he is here with them.
Yep, and the drummer!
Nah, Alex O'Toole is the drummer for Meniscus. Can see why you might get confused though!
Mitch Wilkinson I thought the drummer was different. Look the same but different styles.
Yeah, both great though. Have you listened to Meniscus' new album 'Refractions'?
Mitch Wilkinson oh yeah!!! I pre ordered it. Fantastic music.
Dingwall bass??
Yes
Didn't knew leonel messi has additional jobs like host @ Audiotree

If anyone knows what kind of guitar that has that empty headstock. I'm super interested to know what those are
Can anyone list the set? That would be great!
Does anyone know what the device is called that the guy with the black guitar is using during Emergent?
It's an Ebow. It makes your string sustain endlessly. It's like a kind of magnet.
+Sascha & Norbert that's awesome! Thanks heaps :)
That bass is so good it's disgusting!
Turn those damn guitars up already.
What's the thing the guitarist at 11:35 is using? Some kind of sustainer?
Thanks!!
Mike Adams shirt?
see you in beijing
What guitar is Otto playing here?
anyone knows the songlist?
2 song mame?
What´s the name of the white guitar?
+WaldmannArt Its by EGC. Electrical Guitar Company
13 min 40s
can anyone tell me what that white guitar is?
+Tia Bailey Looks kinda like a Fender Jazzmaster body, with a custom transparent neck and head stock. Also, the head looks like a Martin, but I think it might just be a custom set up.
electrical guitar company make em
The head looks more like a Travis Bean head stock (w/all aluminum neck) and a Jazzmaster body.
Leo Messi is a great host, isn't he?
deafheaven t-shirt?
ahh no way! didn't know audiotree had sleepmakeswaves on! .. awesome band.
BOOOM!! I'm the 1000th like bitches 😎😂

just
I don't like how they... move. It seems... fake? Music's okay, but the performance seems very inorganic, and it turned me off big time.
Anyone know what bass this is?
dingwall
@@AmericanMe it’s beautiful!
