Wish i'd kept my 244. I had it fully serviced. Its ergonomics were ideal 4 the home studio. I replaced it with the 246 .. that's 6 into 4. Serviced that too, only slightly bigger, more features, still have it. Love those honkin' gr8 VUs. All so perfect for a small analogue home studio
Yeah, this is what happens when one person builds the website, researches the content, re-creates the effects in Photoshop, writes the script, edits the video, writes the music, records the music, mixes the music etc etc etc....I am only human. ;-)
Apologies for the naming error throughout the video in the voice over.

What's your opinion sonically of the 244 vs the 246?
Awesome history lesson, Peace, Sal 🎸
The 244 was my studio when I was 16. Somehow it got lost. I still miss it.
Still have mine... since 1987. Awesome Machine
Ah the memories!
I got to have at least, 8 tracks!! I love my tascam 688!!
Just got another cassette portastudio in 2024 they are easier to use than the digital ones
You keep saying '2-2-4' and 1-1-4'... 🤣 Might be worth checking the script before recoding and then uploading to avoid those gaffs...

Go a little easier on the voice over. Sometimes you have to take a few baubles off the tree.
Ha-ha-ha .. hafta remember that one 🤣😂🤣
