If Brock Purdy can open the playbook up and keep doing 2-3 long shots a game this team will be putting up 30+pts every game. The defense is still struggling on third downs and the offense needs to figure out how to become more efficient in the red zone. Hopefully we get some good injury news and start getting some players back in the fold so our team doesn't get burnt out from playing 90+% of the snaps.

Jimmy didn't do what Brock is doing and certainly didn't do it over a 3 season span. He was good on this team, but Brock is mobile and way smarter.

Jimmy was so inaccurate too... Brock puts the ball in stride on the numbers all the time.

Brock and JJ are doing the exact same things they did in college. JJ was the MAN at Tennessee and Brock was too. They MADE plays. Let the young guys play...all of em

Besides being a great player, Purdy is a class act 100%.

9ers need to prepare as if CMC isn't going to play a significant role ever again. If he gets on the field he probably won't last long. RBS lose it in a flash just like Peacock says

Seen some film of Brock Purdy’s college games……he was pretty good…….instinctual, decent feet, good arm etc. what did the scouts see or didn’t see?

Wasn’t the usual 6’2+, rocket arm, blazing 40, and rest of the BS that has nothing to do with playing quarterback. But hey, turns out for the best because he’s our guy for the next handful of years 🙏🏽

He was good early when his weapons around him was experienced. As his career went on and his weapons left he got progressively worse. I say that as a Longhorn fan who watched him for four years. Watch Becht at ISU right now he's doing exactly what Brock is doing, there's nothing special about his game. Then go watch Quinn Ewers, Arch Manning, Shaduer... and watch how they are able to take over a game. Brock has never had that. Texas wasn't a good team when Brock was at ISU and not once did I say man if we can contain Brock we'll win. Never! It was always about the run game and their defense and Brock making a timely throw here and there.

When I first seen him play, I knew that he would become great a lot of people doubt him because they don’t watch his game. He just listen to media media try to down him, but we all know that he’s a great quarterback probably not the runner probably not the forest thrower, but when it comes to the position of quarterback, he’s at the top defense trick defenses knows when to throw the ball and throw the ball correctly at his wide receivers stay in the pocket unless he needs to that’s a great quarterback

IMHO, Purdy reminds me of a more accurate, right-handed version of Ken Stabler. He does what needs to be done to win. He isn’t flashy in any single element of his game, but his skills and tenacity add up to a very good QB.

Love the old school comps for Purdy. Pete Carroll said Fran Tarkenton

@@LockedOn49ers I would agree to a point with Tarkenton, but no one scrambled like that guy. He was so elusive it was almost unbelievable at times.

@LockedOn49ers lol and Pete Carroll extended Geno Smith. What are we doing here? How many AFC Championship games does Brock reach playing in the AFC. Brock on the 9ers just makes him the prettiest house in the ghetto. The NFC is the lesser conference. Is it a coincidence that Brock has a winning record against the NFC and a losing record against the AFC? I think not. Don't believe me make Brock the highest paid qb in the league and have to start losing players on defense and some of the weapons around him and see what happens. When people like me called Jimmy out for what he was 9er diehards argued we were wrong til they were blue in the face. Now they don't have a nice word to say about him. Brock isn't Josh, Lamar, Burrow, or Mahomes and there's a steep decline to the next tier he's in.

There is no way Purdys contract negotiation will be difficult. Everyone seen how easy it was for them to make (at the time) Jimmy G the highest paid QB. There will be 2years and 6 months of proof that Purdy is the guy… the 49ers will make Purdy the highest paid player in the NFL at the time of his signing. At the least, he gets just under daks payday… either way the Niners first offer will be super handsome and Brock will not turn it down.

Purdy threw 15 completed passes for 288 yards. Isn't that 19 ish yards per pass, not 10.7 yards per pass? I think you divided 288 yards by his total passes (27), which equals 10.66666 yards per pass. 10 yards per pass isn't really that impressive, but 20 per pass is excellent.

The entire point of Aiyuk and his money… I ain’t paying him so I really don’t care what he makes. But he is now a true number one WR, never has and never will be. He never and cannot make catches like we have seen Jennings make more than once… attacking the ball while both parties arms are intertwined. Aiyuk waits for the ball, great receivers attack the ball. Aiyuk is not worth 30 million dollars. As for his production… how many drops does Aiyuk have already? And miss me with the not in football shape… he has had to worry about taking hits because he drops the ball. Again, great receivers don’t need training camp to practice catching a football. Aiyuk looks like garbage… was nowhere to be seen against the rams when he was “all that was left”, and had double digit targets and barely caught half of them… then we see Deebo and Kittle come back ( on top of Jennings performance as of late and in this last game… and all of a sudden Aiyuk make a couple grabs and “he’s back” or “almost back”…. 🤣 he ain’t 💩 without his current QB and the actual superstars that draw all the attention. 😅
