    I pull a 20ft Bullet bass boat with my Colorado Trail Boss, I also had mine calibrated to the 430torque, it’s like I’m not even pulling anything, it’s only 3thousand pounds though, but with my 2002 Silverado with 4.8 liter V8 you know your pulling it, my TB has way more torque and HP, 4.8 liter is 275 hp plus I have a cold air intake and flowmasters probably 285

      Thanks for watching! I think that 3-4k pounds will be the sweet spot for the ZR2. It definitely has the power. I'd imagine yours will do even better with the same power and a little stiffer suspension.

    Wish you did a walkaround of your setup before going straight to you driving. I don’t know why people don’t understand this.

      Thanks for watching! I'm sorry we didn't understand what you were looking for when we created the video. I'll try and change it up a little if we do one again.

    I'm looking at getting a ZR2 and I tow a boat just twice a year that is 20 ft and a tandem trailer. Doing the research it looks like it weighs about 3,400 lb and 800 to 1,000 lb for the trailer. So about 4400 lbs. Do you think I'll be fine?

      Yes, I would think you'll be OK at that weight - we think the Tractor and trailer were about that heavy, if not a little more and the truck towed it like a champ!

    Betcha still beat the Westy speed record when we went over. Max for us was 28 mph.

      You know it. No problem going as fast as I wanted to safely.

    Drifter if the rear of the truck is lower . Move tractor back about 1-2 ft on the trailer then stand back to see if it's level . This will make a difference . I drive about 70 mph never had a problem .

      Thanks for sharing! Unfortunately that rental trailer was too small to move the tractor back any. We don't plan on hauling it anymore but I'd definitely get a longer trailer next time.

    Question.......how were the Trans Temps? Did they ever get above 175-180?

      Thanks for watching. I have a section in the video where I talk about that. Ours is.always above that.

    Did you happen to measure how much the rear end squatted with the trailer weight?

    • @DrifterJourney
      @DrifterJourney  10 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks for watching! I didn't measure but should have. I think it dropped a couple of inches and was definitely squatting with that size load. We'll be more scientific when we add the topper/camper here soon. I'm hoping it doesn't squat too much with that on or I'll have to do something about it.
