I’m sure each and every one of those cheerleaders and audience that witnessed it would need some counselling. All these gaps and plot holes in a fictional comedy movie…outrageous!

Idk it cld have been much better if they had her fall be a complete accident. The whole part about Tiffany asking those cheerleaders to win it was unnecessary- we already knew she has toxic towards Stephanie. It just felt unrealistic that she wasn’t in prison/ ended all happy in the final dance scene where the whole Tiffany involvement was never addressed. Stephanie literally went into a coma for 20 years and it clearly wasn’t an accident - considering it was filmed. The police would have definitely seen those girls push the guy away.

I love this movie! It's so good and funny! Poor Steph deserved better. Tiffany almost killed her and took away 20 years of her life that she can't get back just bc she's mad that Steph won cheer captain over her fair and square. Steph is such a W for forgiving her, I would not want her within less than 2 ft of me.
I know it would have been a bad ending, but for some reason, I just wanted for her to have fallen again, and wake up back in her teenage body. And her waking up would, again, be against medicine. At first she would think it was all a dream. But then, her mother appears behind everyone's back, blinking her eye and going away afterwards. I know, a totally horrible ending.
I haven’t watched the movie, but based on the very little context I got from the comments, this was at a cheer comp that (this is part is pure inference) that they were hosting, and at least in my league (junior varsity Pop Warner, I’m 13 btw, also this is where the inference ends, but I do use a lot of pretty sures here) so many things in this would have never been allowed, just as an example HAVING NO MATS, pretty sure the stunt at 0:29 is illegal, pretty sure the way the flyer is dismounting at 0:50 (jumping forward, not backward) is illegal, or at least a penalty, and pretty sure the whatever that is at 1:07 is illegal.

It almost looks like she is trying to go into a pike backflip or something like that, she doesn’t stop for even a second to get rid of all the energy she’s carrying from the round off back handspring, and having a ton of extra energy like that isn’t all that safe. It almost looks like she was trying to do a roundoff back handspring pike backflip and then her pass got obstructed by a stunt group that was setting up. It looks really weird, a lot like a mistake, honestly kinda messy, and not all that safe.

Yes and no. Not every school would perform a routine this elaborate but many do. Most would probably perform a somewhat lighter version of something similar with a shorter time and less difficult choreography. This is Hollywood but you could find this at schools with high emphasis on their cheering program, and there are a lot of those schools, but they represent a small minority of the whole when it gets to this level. So do they do this? Yes. In most cases no, but most schools do something similar yet less extreme.
not american but our routines are as elaborate as this. the lifts in the film aren’t even that high level… although, i think there would def be a difference if the school had a competitive cheer team or just a school squad… competitive cheerleaders are more extra HAHAH
to be honest, it was a good film at the beginning before she went into the coma, it was interesting and kept me watching but afterwards, it became cringy with all the politics and the stupid cheerleading dance they did about consent. i mean this cheerleading thing in this scene was actually enjoyable
Unfortunately that’s how it is now. The beginning was how things used to be. Early 2000s. Now a days it’s all about not offending anyone and politics and everything. That’s why 90s and early 2000s movies are the best
