The closing of elderly homes in the Netherlands didn't have anything to do with the privatisation of the health care providers. It was a separate decision by the government. The privatisation was not to improve the health care. It was one of the many decisions being made on the assumption that it would be cheaper to privatise (free market BS).

Since the past 3 days I had to listen to xenophobic comments in Netherlands, it was rude and nasty . We are expat living in the Netherlands since 8 months ( job related) we are , European and seriously it’s a nice place to live but you are not really welcome by some Dutch. Learning the language is also challenging.

I was personally surprised/shocked by the fact that if, as a polish woman, I want to obtain a Dutch passport, I have to renounce my nationality... Ofc there are some exceptions, but they also require additional costs. The price of the passport is cruelly high. This information is much too much for me. And although I came here in 2019 I think more and more often about returning to my homeland. The Netherlands as a country and emigration gave me a lot. Since 2019 I seeing very well the huge changes... Prices are crazy, costs are rising, finding a place to live (in decent conditions) that you can easily afford is bordering on a miracle... I'm aware of many things that concern the specificity of the Netherlands and its limitations (terrain, etc.) it's start being over my head. It's seems to me that the government is not helping and is increasingly harming society...

Netherlands has too much minute rules, too much hoops to jump through to get somewhere. It doesnt feel free... its a general critique, or maybe its a selfloathing thing. Its hard to appriciate what is familiar

This country is going down hill FAST. If I would be younger and healthier, I would leave, even though I'm born and raised here.
Healthcare will get worse and worse, housing will get worse and worse, Antisemitism will get worse and worse, overall hate between people will get worse and worse etc etc etc etc. There is way to much wrong, with this country the last 20 years, to discuss.
I have no idea how a new government [if we ever get one!!] can solve everything for everyone to make this a better and more livable country again. I'm 63 and it's never been this bad...

Yes, the country is run like a plantation colony for the international corporatocracy. The Dutch have to make it work by staying nice an welcoming to even more immigratns while any social cohesion is eroded and they are squeezed out financially.

Hi ...., Thanks for your video.
I am planning to permanently move to Netherlands end of this year. As I checked the videos and blogs done by people who are currently stay in Netherlands, most of them mention cost of accommodation is very high. Aveg. Euro 1200-1600 (02 bed room apartment). But once I checked the Facebook market place I have seen many apartment rentals ads with very affordable cost. Around 700-900 (02 bed rooms apartment )... now I am bit confused which one is the right one.....Could you please give me the honest idea as you live in Netherlands ? How much does it cost actually (average) ...Sorry for long explanation. Thanks and hope you a reply...

Hey! Thank you for watching the video. It's hard for me to say as it varies per city. In Eindhoven where I live, it would not be possible to rent a two bedroom apartment for the price you mentioned. I suggest watching this video to learn more about how much you should expect to spend in the Netherlands on average. I address the price for accommodations there too: ruclips.net/video/6qcCbwvTvHA/видео.html

This xenophobic mentality is now dominant in the present government (july 2024); Geert Wilder's PVV won the last elections. God have mercy upon us.....
