    That top exhaust fan robs the CPU cooler of intake air. It should either be a top intake or a solid piece that prevents front intake air from exiting too soon.

      Can probably turn psu around to extract air from inside and have both top and front fans as intakes? This should also solve the issue of having the psu suck in unfiltered air through the side panel and blowing it onto the inside of the top filter. Not adding a filter for the side panel is for me a bigger issue...

    I bought this case to build a small PC for my daughter (waiting for it to be delivered). Although most reviewers like the large DeepCool CPU cooler, I'm loathe to spend as much on the cooler as I spent on the case. Great job on the video, as always.

  • @chewdawg

    I'd like to see this case with the rear fan intake and front+front/top fans exhaust (and of course the CPU fan going the other way as well). It would have both the CPU and GPU getting fresh air from outside the case and all the airflow going in one direction.

    Flip the rear fan into intake (add a magnetic dust filter behind), flip the fan of the air cooler, flip the front fan into exhaust. That may have more better cpu thermals.

    • @MachinesMore
      @MachinesMore  9 месяцев назад +1

      If you run the fans at the same speed, then that could happen. The front and rear fans need to sync with the cooler fan, the top exhaust is just a slow speed case fan.

    Man, I would've loved to see this case back in 2020 when I was first delving into SFF. I wouldn't have gone to buy an Inwin A1.
    This is the perfect case for me back then, big enough to accommodate beefy air coolers, good PSU support (atx and sff), good airflow direction (front to back), enough ventilation all around and oh god that build process, being able to disassemble the top would would have been a godsend.
    Maybe on my next sff build, but for now I'm stuck with this inwin a1 hotbox which is a pain to build/update my build on.

    Great Video! Best SFF case reviews on YT!
    I love the size comparison b-roll, it's so helpful! How about displaying the case names in the upper part of the screen as beginners might struggle to know which case is which? Maybe using yellow for the case you're reviewing and a darker blue or green for the names of the other cases might look well...
    Video length 25min was def nice and the amount of helpful details you mention really help a lot in figuring out if I want to buy that case. Only point I missed more details of was airflow direction. Is bottom to top realistically viable or front to back only? Can you show a b-roll of how a smaller rtx 4070/4060 and rx 7600/6700 would look inside the case in the next video about this case, please?
    Also, I'm in the market for an SFX PSU when a good deal shows up. But there's no corsair SF 450/600 in the shops/marketplaces I looked through. Corsair SF 750 for 190€ was the smallest I found. Can you make a video to help budget oriented builders find a great value SFX PSU?

    In the all air setup, isn't the top exhaust fighting the overall airflow?
    The front intake fan supplies the top exhaust and the CPU intake fan. But the top exhaust is also taking away from the CPU intake fan, no?
    In my opinion, you are diverting air that would have been consumed by the CPU intake fan by adding the top exhaust fan.

    The top exhaust fan is damaging the results, since it's just gonna take most of the air provided by the front intake fan.
    The same goes for the AIO config where the rear fun is an exhaust, as it's just gonna compete for the AIO's fans for air.

      @@Unhomieewith support for giant air coolers like DeepCool's Assasin 4. It really should outperform the NR200.. It's possibly a bit wacky using an air cooler that costs more than twice what the CH160 does. Swapping for the newly released mesh side panel would maybe help at least a little too? I also wonder about the vertical base too. Personally I don't like the I/O getting shoved to the bottom. There is lots to think about here and expiriment with in this case.
      I won't knock the CoolerMaster NR200. What a great and classic chassis it's been. Definitely is still one to consider. I like that you can be rather sneaky and creative and just squeeze some Micro ATX boards in that one. Something that the DeepCool misses out on.

    And what if you try to replace the fans on the radiator. To put not 120x120x25, but 120x120x15, so to speak, thin models. For example, from Thermalright TL-C12015S. Will this help, not interfere with the water block and radiator. Do not bend the motherboard, thereby reducing the likelihood of failure.

    There is something intensely satisfying about packing so much in a small case isn't there? I'm sure that's a huge part of the appeal of SFF PC's in general. I do like the CH160 lunchbox and I'm looking forward to building in one.
    Mobo manufacturers please give us more cost effective mini itx boards 🙏 $400+ board in a $50 chassis is a bit nutso?! At least DeepCool is helping builders save some of their hard earned $ I guess.
    But talking about space again. Most larger ATX and many MICRO ATX chassis really feel so stupidly inefficient in terms of how much free space or air there is. It's plain for anyone to see exactly that. That's some nice air you're packing in that giant case..

    Ways to fix it:
    1) Reduce wire length for cleaner run to motherboard.
    2) Reduced it to just a power button and 1 USB (skip the audio no one* use it)
    3) replace the solid steel with a mech panel that folds down on a hinge like the Q58, but keeps the I/O PCB in place when opened.
    In general I find it unacceptable for a case like this to not support active GPU cooling.

    dimension (mentioned)
    331x200x250=16.55L
    dimension (online)
    336x200x283=19.02L

      Online dimension accounts for the feet and handle, the mentioned dimensions are just for the case itself.

    needs vented side panel and the pigtail power cord is a let down. you can't tell me there isn't enough room to mount it to the case lol. was interested but thats a no for me oh well

    i wonder how much gpu space is lost by recessing the rear i/o. i like the design alot minus the handle, but that clearance isnt even enough for my 6950xt nitro +

    gear seekers was able to fit 4090 fe without any issue, i watched his full review that front panel IO can be taken off for easier gpu install, but he also said a 240mm rad was not possible and you showed it is which is a huge plus for me definitely will be getting one.

      Yup, fits on spec. The IO cables are needlessly a burden in the gpu section but as long as you can manage them well it’ll be OK. 240 is fine but something like the PL240 flux with a low profile pump is best.

    305MM length so 99% of cards wont fit you have a 4090. Most AMD cards even 7900XTX and anything 4080 and under will fit.

      The pump choice will be critical since there’s a height requirement next to the radiator. I am thinking of doing it, probably separate pump/res will be needed since a standalone cpu block might be needed to clear.

    It is too wide. For that width, it should be an mATX case. It also have no cable mangement, as everything is stuffed in the open. I don't get the glass, as you only reveal ugly. Also, they are this close to get to a place of pure mesh, and thus to get rid of them case fans, but somehow, they even miss that. That psu needs to go behind the mb, for this design language to work. This is just a stuffed turkey, that do not work for extreme mesh or glass.
    It does how ever make my job easier. This is a working case that sort of shows what can be done by sheet metal production techniques using my designs. There is just such a lack of vision and innovation, but for once, they actually made a case with a cooler, that actually gives a somewhat meaningful artistic expression, not the best, but hey, they actually do. Sadly, they don't make parts based on it, they just iterate on what is already there.
    For this design, why is it not desktop oriented? That would improve GPU cooling, and there is no zag. I just don't get what these people are thinking?
