@BrandonCrazyTV Scenery actually matters a whole lot. for instance, Space Mountain at Disney World is only about 50 ft. tall and goes like 25 mph. But because of all of the effects around, and the darkness you're in, it tricks you into thinking you're going much faster. Without all the decorations, Space Mountain would just be a lame, crammed-in roller coaster that wouldn't create 2-hour lines every day. However, rides like Millennium Force are so thrilling that extra scenery wouldn't matter.
@BrandonCrazyTV Also, roller coasters at universal really don't rely on scenery at all, except for the mummy. And some rides, like Jurassic Park, depend entirely on scenery to make the ride interesting. But I agree with you in the way that gratuitous decor around something like magnum xl-200 would just make it gimmicky and look like a joke. So yeah, before you give anyone crap about theming, think about great rides that aren't fast, tall, or exhilarating, but make you feel in another reality.
@therunningpiano doesnt have to be fast tall or exilerating. thats just mostly what cedar point has to offer for coasters because cedar point is the shit. i know my coasters and if its one of my favorites like maverick then i know a shit load more about it.
@MegaBobbery have you ever been to an amusment park with 17 roller coaster. abviously not since you called these rides crap. montu is a peice of shit and i would know. ive been on it. never been on nemisis.and just because raptor isnt large like montu and nemisis, it still easily puts them in the dust.
@MegaBobbery all im saying is dont trash talk an amazing coaster and compare it to couple rides with cool names at an incredibly over priced park like busch gardens. and once again, too much scenery makes a ride really fuckin stupid. thats why i hate anything disney. and universal studios. didnt have any fun at universal studios.
GateKeeper and Raptor will make a fine duet.
Trio now, with Valravn.
Thanks for sharing this video! I'm forwarding it on to our readers at The Point Online
