I’m a simple man, I see Pettersson in the title, I like the video. I don’t care if you overpay for EP40, you gotta fill the void of higher end first line center that was created with the Eichel trade.
Do we not forget who is in the driver seat? The Canucks GM has already come out and said there is a problem, why would any of the 31 other teams overpay when everyone not named Patrick Allvin is in the driver seat? Every GM knows that Canucks are in a bind, why should the Sabres help them out of it? This is the chance to get more value because another team is in a tough spot, like with what happened to the Sabres and Eichel. This is not the time or place to overpay for someone, especially when they are in a down year.
Always great to listen to you guys chat and think out loud. A note to add, related to your comments about Adams, this seems like a complementary bookend type situation to the Eichel one, where he had the unhappy star center and he had to find the best deal. Having a star player who either wants out or the organization has resigned themselves to moving them (as seems to be the case with Vancouver) tends to lower the return, which is one more reason Adams should be all over this.
I think the ultimate sweetner of a trade would be Elias Pettersson and D Prospect Tom Wallinder( Righty) for Cozens Power Ostlund( former linemate of Canucks C Lekkermaki) and 2026 1st with some sort of protection.
this is the only comment I'm ever gonna make about Buffalo till the end of the season cousins powers a first round and a draft pick for pedderson get it done
soo.. pettersson is no perfect NHL player, but he is that "put the puck into the net"-depth, buffalo has been missing, even during the eichel-era. if thompson and pettersson could jam on two different lines, that is going to swing those 3-2 losses, into 4-3 wins, just on default. the idea buffalo is in a place to be picky and give this chance up, no.
Poor poor poor Pettersson. A meany said something hurtful to him and he wants out! He's the perfect fit for the Sabres. Mentally soft, fragile and 'injured'. Great trade!

The Saad questions not to be confused with the sad questions we normally get 😆😆
The Sabres played like the team I thought they might be all year under Lindy Ruff. The showed speed, skill and a lot of grit.
Petterson only scores well playing on a line with JT Miller, who would he play with on the Sabres?
allvin is probably asking for ostlund, considering they got lekkerimaki.. thinking they already got chemistry.

A team with 1.2M of cap room is gonna shed 11.6M and take on 15.5M?

Petteressen 31 pts... Cozens 26 pts... Petterssen is NOT worth $11M.
What a great argument. I'm convinced.
