Anybody having a hard finding the "Orientation" button, click on the video in the timeline, then click on the "i" in the top right corner, then click on "360 Projection Mode" , then click on where it says "Equirectangular" Problem Solved 💯
great video. Have you tried exporting with Direction Lock On & Off? I see some videos have this option ON, whilst other including yours, it's OFF. I know what it does inside the Insta360 Studio, but I'm wondering what sort of impact does it have when exporting 360 and reframing with another tool like Final Cut. Just wondering if you've tried both options and why you chose one over the other?
if I have an iPad, there’s no insta 360 studio software, only a app that’s a bigger version of the mobile app. Can I import file directly to fcpx on my iPad or should I use mandatory insta 360 studio
The tracking in insta 360 studio works fantastic, I tried it manually and took me ages and my results where not as good when changing directions quickly 😎😎😎
Great thanks ! I have a question. If I have some HDR 360 photos that I took with my insta 360 camera. Can I build a 360 video for RUclips with immersive effect (moving around in my photos instead of video) ? I don’t know how I could do that. As in 2D it’s possible to create a video from photos slideshow… I wander if the same is possible but making a 360 video made of 360 photos slideshow
Thank you for this!! I just got my Insta360 and I'm gonna start editing now, and this is exactly the quick and straight to the point info I needed, thanks! :)
Word !!! When Studio is open, and you import from the camera, where are those files stored / held ? Can you still work off of a drive ? Dont want the computer to fill up..
Sorry for the late response, hope your life has been good since the 4 months you commented this. But from my experience it seems like it just creates small temporary files used to view the footage within the studio. Those files are then deleted after you eject the camera and close the studio. I had the same concern but I haven’t had any issues with my computer storage randomly being filed up. Hope this helps!
The problem with editing 360 in fcpx is, that's it's impossible to smooth any frame key. Footage therefore looks very choppy. Better to frame your footage in the insta360 studio app and export as framed video and work from there. Much more professional result!
I much prefer to edit them in Insta360 studio and export later final clip to be edited in FCP, at the end of the day, is the same thing. I’d love to edit raw insta360 files directly in FCP.
@@occupiedstudios trying to make it full 5.7k and trying to figure out how to make it 360/tiny planet in final cut after Iv exported it in the 360 studio

Importing from the camera is terrible. It takes too long. Take the memory card out and import from the card, it's much faster. Especially if you're like me with a 512 Gig mini SD card.
this is how all "How to" videos should be made
I agree with others. This is how these videos should be made - straight to the point and not a lot of verbose talk. Thank you.
verbose... I like that word
Thank you so much. Quick, easy and straight to the POINT
Straight to the point & easy to follow & comprehend 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

hi in my final cut pro for editing the 360 footage from insta360 camera i havent got field of view so where should it be ?? thanks Andrew
Great video ... wouldve liked more info on the export process
still prefer to edit it directly on Insta Studio, because you can actually track subject and keyframing it, with ease in/out, is much more easier
For sure, the studio has some really good features

Let’s talk resolution, is there a loss going from INSV in Studio 2023 to FCPX?
this is a good question. because i feel like its dropping down

Best action cam ever love it. While making my video testing it. I got lost couple of times with the creativity that this camera and its app offers 😮
I still haven’t used this camera to its full potential! It has so much to offer. Have fun with it 🤘

That’s what I did before I relived I can edit 360 x3 in Final Cut Pro, glad you added comment as do not want choppy footage 🤓
Right now I find it easier to do my reframing in insta360 studio and my normal editing, cutting, color grading etc in final cut pro
👍👍👍💯💥
straight to the point I love it
why is my one on-screen control and in the inspector Re-orientation Not Orientation?

Super helpful. I always thought I have to edit it in the studio. I assume from there you just keyframe the orientation?
Glad it helped! And yup, you can keyframe all those orientation settings to make some unique edits
