I was in such a hole of unworthiness and feelings of being separated from God! Then a wonderful gift was granted to a family member-a gift prayed for by many over months! What an explosion of joy, laughing and crying! And I realized that I was the one separating me from my God, by thinking He had forsaken me!! A lesson I won’t forget! God keeps his promises and this one shouldn’t ever be forgotten. Love Him, trust Him, have faith and pray. We will never be forsaken by God. I’m so unburdened and full of joy. ❤️❤️❤️🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

I have serious issues related to ❤ and how God allows believers to go through such deep dark vallies and call it Love. I wouldn't put someone I merely liked through something I wouldn't want to be put through, myself.
If I was married to a man who beat me, I wouldn't stay with him, even if he told me he was beating me out of love. I'd run that much faster.

Unfortunately a message will be given that is scriptually correct but given by someone who has not one clue about the horrors of depression. Ostensibly to help unfortunates who only know all too well of its hopeless depths.

How do you know he never suffered from depression? Of has intimate knowledge of it from 1st hand familial experience?
You sound a little Eeyore-ish yourself. Brighten up.
I, in june, was healed from 40+ years of cPTSD (complex PTSD ) due to childhood sexual abuse, suicides of all my siblings, 2 guns, 1 knife held on me in robberies as a pharmacist, divorce due to betrayal, both best friends from 1st grade on...death due to alcoholism and the needle, the govt reneging on my contract after my residency, lost of my career 5 yrs ago due to bilateral retina disease, can't drive or work and I'm a red-blooded, testosterone-infused 60 yr old MAN, no soy! estrangement from my only daughter and 3 grandsons, and, and, and.
From the time I was 6 until 5 yrs ago, chronic , persistent and unrelenting traumas.
It caused agorophobia, severe anxiety/depression self, isolation, self-loathing, paralysis of intention/initiative, paranoia, nightmares, suicidal ideation...nothing healthy at all. I pushed away, with directed malice, everyone I loved so as to rid my life of any type of or opportunity for betrayal.
Raised by Christian missionaries, grew up in Congo, so Jesus sustained me thru it all. After almost 50 yrs, my past totally controlled me.
Spoke with my pastor about 7 yrs ago who advised me, a pharmacist with doctorates specializing in infectious disease and psych, to try anti-depressants lol. Heck. I've seen SSRI's help and wreck thousands of people.
I took his advice and they helped a bit for a while. What they absolutely DID do was show me explicitly that no man nor drug could release me from the bondage in which I lived.
It took me sinking lower and lower, being let down by 2 clergy and 3 psychologists (I was desperate!) and a sermon, coincidentally by A Rogers about Jehoshaphat to re-open fully my eyes to the lies Satan had told me about myself.
      It's not our fight, it's God's.
Upon prayer and revalation, I was released from decades long torment in a blink. I woke up the next day to a world in color!! I had no idea people lived like this!!
Tears of joy flow all the time.
I changed my prayers to one's of 95% praise instead of selfish supplication and begging for release and mercy.
It's a miracle. No meds. Happy. Joyful. ALIVE!
Zero body pain anymore ( Somatization)...just 60 yr old man normal stuff.
I prayed for a word to describe my present state, as I couldn't find one in my head. A little while later the word EXUBERANT popped up in me brain.
"Unbridled joy and enthusiasm "...that's me!!
Everyday since june of this year!
I don't see it ever leaving me.
I literally cannot remember how I used to feel for 45 out of my 60 years. I can't even conjure up those old emotions, fears, etc. It is as if it never happened!
It can be this way for you, too.
I must, because I long for it, read or hear God's word EVERYDAY.
"I waited patiently for the Lord; he inclined to me and heard my cry. He drew me up from the pit of destruction, out of the miry bog, and set my feet upon a rock, making my steps secure. He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the Lord. Blessed is the man who makes the Lord his trust, who does not turn to the proud, to those who go astray after a lie! You have multiplied, O Lord my God, your wondrous deeds and your thoughts toward us; none can compare with you! I will proclaim and tell of them, yet they are more than can be told."
      Psalm 40:1‭-‬5 ESV
"Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer."
      Romans 12:12 ESV
"As a deer pants for flowing streams, so pants my soul for you, O God."
      Psalm 42:1 ESV
Good luck. I love you. Js
