The ping compensation surely is a good way to balance the game for those who have worse internet or are far from the server, however the update is kinda raw and devs will have to do some fixing
0:56 actually that was you blocking bleed damage, you just never see that typically because you only bleed when hit and when hit you can't block or parry for a moment aka the bleed period, but since you blocked after the parry bug happened you blocked the bleed.
Before anyone says "doesn't bleed hit multiple times?" No bleed just plays a damage effect a few times which is easily seen on golem and sand knights, however actual bleed damage is the number it specifies on the weapon. Bleed "hits" multiple times to make it look like the enemy looses a lot of blood. Tldr bleed deals specified damage once but plays multiple damage effects for visuals.

I was fighting my eu friend on a virginia server (I had 40 ping he had 140) and whenever I'd m1, the parry wouldn't happen until I was halfway through my next m1 and by that point he'd hit me back with a faster swinging weapon, and since I was swinging I got punished. So you can't even see when your m1s or mantras hit the person with high ping until you're already winding up for another attack, else you'll just be intentionally playing slower as to not get punished. not to mention the numerous amounts of aerial attacks I read from him, rolled backwards, and did an aerial attack of my own (which would always hit a native virginia server player before this update) and he'd have plenty of time to just parry it despite the endlag.
I swear I was about to go insane today I was holding block and on the screen my screen it showed I was blocking but I still got hit LONG after the animation was done and I'm just holding F

I've always felt like there was something messing with the parrying. There'd be times where I parry a fire blade or a purple cloud crit and the animation and the timing of pressing the parry would be the same but sometimes it parried and sometimes it didn't. Either there was something effecting it which can be ping but generally my ping is consistent so it feels like theres something with the game affecting this. As well as in the video theres many different times where things shouldn't hit or things should parry and all that and I feel like it makes deepwoken pvp unbalanced if its inconsistent like that.
Idk why everyone is glazing this feature, the parry frames and dodge frames were enough and it isn't hard to predict parry. All this feature does is make the combat desynced with the server and everything will come out late now.
they keep adding multihits that dont fit just because it looks cool. the new devs dont understand the mantra system in deepwoken and make things that dont fit it, the mantras we had on release didnt have this problem

Heavenly wind is also really buggy rn. It if you feint it or just use it raw, there’s a chance that it doesn’t let you cast any other mantras for like 3 seconds. Idk what the hell these eggs were cooking bruh 🤦♂️
@@lemonboi9524 cus they considered heavenly wind’s mobility (both vertical and horizontal) to be too cracked so they make it so you cant reuse heavenly wind immediately after feinting it and now they’ve probably made it so you cant use other mantras after feinting/using it as well by extending the endlag
Usa players feeling the pain we south american players had to deal with for more than a year is just satisfying (the issues you showed in the clips are exactly how we play the game with our normal 200+ ping)
This affected some SA players too, i literally gotta predict parry or just remove radiant kick from my kit cuz it just doesnt work and the parry isnt going through 90% of the time and when it goes the other person doesn't get stunned by being parried.
