About to turn 70 in 2 months. I use that coconut oil as a moisturizer! A few times a week I smear it on and cover my face with a warm, wet washcloth a few times. I also use it 2x daily just as a general moisturizer. I love it!!
I used coconut oil on my Arabian gelding every summer for the occasional summer gunk & rain rot. I could add a few drops of essential oils to act as fly, gnat & mosquito repellant. Worked very well for any skin issues. It even was a fair mane & tail detangler.
That's great ! 66 here and have been using g grapeseed oil as a moisturizer for a few months now , it works great and is not oily or greasy afterwards. I got it at Walmart in the cooking oils for only about $5.00
Hi Jinne, I went to town yesterday and bought boneless skinless chicken thighs for $.99/pound. I got 7 very full pints. I just am so glad that you have gone back to $30 preps. The fifty dollar preps are bound to be the way of the future but its nice to see the inflation at the thirty dollar preps.
I just went yesterday and bought quart mason canning jars. Not sure if they will hold up to canning. I will test one in pressure canning and one in waterbath canning. I can always use it for dry storage. I bought one case of them. Also picked up 2 digital thermometers to have as extras. Picked up 2 liquid skin tubes. Picked up six 28 ounce canned peaches. Six 15 ounce cans of Libbys mandarins. Eight 10 ounce jarred mushrooms. Eight bags of coconut flour. Six Kinder Taco meals. Two 100% cotton kitchen towels. Six stainless steel large pet bowls (I like these better than the plastic ones). Four packs of wooden clothes pins. Four packs of sponges that have 8 in each pack. Ten 15 ounce cans of large pitted black olives. Ten bags of watermelon taffy and 10 bags of Creamsicle taffy. 12 quarts of the Whole Milk. Twelve 28 ounce heavy duty glass mugs. 4 bottles of different colored nailpolish and 1 bottle of clear top coat. Four pack of nail files. And last is both 6 each, A1 steak sauce and Heinz 57 sauce. Keep stocking the pantry!
I have a stack of five sink baskets. I love them for so many things, soaking wash, herbs, picking fruits/veg, peeling potatoes, ice bath for blanching, great grandchild bath, ice bucket, transporting my clean jars to the pantry, puzzle pieces holder while putting them together, taking out small loads of laundry to the lines, separating freezer goods, mixing craft paint or decoupage. So many uses.
Hey Jinne! I went to DT today, too! I looked at the tshirts but they were picked over so none for me. I did get rice, since apparently that's going to be a hard to find or expensive item in the next few months. I buy the leggings there for $5...they are just as well made as the ones you get online or dept stores. They come in handy for layering or if they get messed up, no real loss. I buy that milk, too! It's really good! I try to keep that stocked in my pantry. I bought the Millie's sipping teas, too! (One reason was the name lol) Great haul for you today!
Thank you for your haul. I compare your hauls to what is in my pantry. Most times I am on point. Many times I have gone into my $tree and there is always one section of the freezer section that is down. I thank God I did a lot of stocking up when things were just a dollar. Now I only purchase things that are on sale at big grocery store and purchase replacement items from $tree.
I saw on another channel (can't remember who)that if you run low on paper plates or you just want to save them, cover them with plastic wrap or Press and Seal before serving the food. Works on plates and bowls. Keeps the dishes clean for the next time.
Saturday should’ve been named 365 ways to cut your forefinger. I cut my forefinger on an apple I was eating I grabbed it and the sharp edge of the pillow actually cut my index finger and it bled. About three hours later I was opening a Bowl of salad that I had gotten as a carry-on and the thin plastic lid cut me on the same finger but now it’s a same place but it was still red blood. I kept putting Band-Aids on. My sister said where are you getting all those Band-Aids! I showed her my stash and she said don’t let anybody else know ! They’ll send you to the loony bin

Great Haul, Jinne! I use those dish pans for so many things. One that is super handy for us is to fill a few of them with fresh water every morning and put them in the chicken run, in addition to their drinking water. We have a few chickens that like to have their own dishpan of water to dance in. Especially during the hot weather. It is entertaining to watch them splash around in the dishpans. They love it! TFS!
Been making homemade hummus out of lentils for a few years now. Can control other ingredients such as I use avocado oil and "no salt" and I tend to spice mine up a little too. Healthier than eating my veggies with ranch I'm sure. Great with my wifes squash flat bread too.
@MinuteMan1999 That’s a GREAT idea !! Why didn’t I think of that ? And can you share your wife’s recipe ? Sounds so interesting !! Leisa on Suttons Daze has a recipe for tortillas made with lentils.
