What book did you guys use for this? I mean it looks like you were following the 2008 Concert Version except for the ending. Is this the version that the West End recently did which ends with You and I? Interesting Curtain Call Song.

I'm not the content creator; however, I agree with you that it is a bit odd ending with You and I (Reprise). Broadway did. However, Broadway's book is like the black sheep no one talks about. Although, my sister loves that version, while I love the London version. I think it's more powerful when you use You and I Reprise followed by Finale/Anthem.
It's weird how in 2008, Tim Rice agrees to the definite version, yet it seems as if he still has not made up his mind.
However, should Tim Rice agrees to a movie version, I think it should follow the Chess pa Swenska version, which is more suitable for film. It really focuses on Anatoly leaving Svetlana during The Story of Chess and sings it to their kid. Also, Budapest 1956 has more storytelling with the uprising, more than any production of Chess. However, the song order is so weird. It's Its own creation, and a very good creation. However, it's story is a bit alienating probably to fans of Chess because it is so different. Now, I don't understand nor speak Sweedish, but it seems superior in my opinion to many versions of Chess. However, again, I think the sweedush version would be the best regarding telling a story. If you can watch it with subtitles, I recommend it. Again, you might seem a bit alienated by its nature saying "is this even Chess?" Unlike most versions which begin Act Ii with One Night in Bangkok, the sweefish version opens act II with Arguement from the original concept album -- not to be confused with the other song called Arguement or "How Many Woman?" Also Chess pa Swenska has a song that's only in European versions "He is A Man. He is A Child" sung by Svetlana when she realizes Anatoly's affair with Florence. It recently has been translated to English and has a single. Its an extremely good song but it's a dramatic tone and sustained note on "hate him" is an extremely high belt but also requires dramatic tone of a woman who's been used. I wish yhey could add this song to American productions of Chess. But they probably won't.

@@DerekMckean The version that interests me the most is the 2003 Concert Version because it drives home how everyone wins something, but loses something else. Freddie wins the title back but loses Florence, Anatoly loses the title and Florence but saves his family. I feel like if they combined that with the ending of the 92 San Jose performance and recent ending whether the father does show up it might be nice. The problem is that you have to drop Pity the Child because reflection doesnt work without redemption. I also feel that in a movie ending it with Florence losing everyone and everything is too much

@HarveyBacktheBeatles Did you grow up in the San Francisco bay area by chance? I was a preteen when I saw it at San Jose CLO when Stuart Slater was the artistic director. I'm surprised we got to see the one and only Ann Crumb.
Unfortunately, I have learned this year Ann Crumb passed away in 2017.

@@HarveyBacktheBeatles its also sad that the city of Santa Clara may be taking down Great America. It's contraxt is 10 more years maximum.
And American Musical Theatre of San Jose (formerly SJ CLO) went bankrupt to Disney's Tarzan while i was living in Southern California.
