I think you are on the right track here. Usually a service (fluid change) will not fix all complaints. Replacing the fluid , filter and adjusting both bands in your case is a good move and may get you out of trouble. The front band operates 2nd gear, so make sure you adjust that band if anything. It is good practice to adjust it twice to confirm it all. Dont forget to check the fluid level idling in Neutral. Good Luck.
U just saved me over 2300$ U.S. Shop wanted to rebuild it but the front smaller band strut fell out. Put it back in, adjusted both bands and cable, voila!!!!! Back to wreckin fords!!
I have a 2000 doge 1500 pickup 4 wheel drive. I was towing when i lost third gear. I change screen and fluid and found part of the rear band lingage in the pan reinstalled it and adjusted band but did not fix the issue still have first gear and week second clicking coming from trans and no third gear
I have a 2000 ram pickup and having problems with the second gear not shifting normal, after doing research I found that I had to replace the governor solenoid pressure sensor and I did that and put new transmission oil in, after a test drive nothing changed, so I open the oil panel up again and drained the oil out when I notice there was a little black metal piece stuck on the bottom of oil panel magnetite, now it's the same piece that show in this video, so my question is, is it fixable ?
Which piece of metal are you referring too? At what minute /second is it, going of the video. What trans have you got in your Ram? Sorry we dont have the Ram in Australia. I can however guide you once i know what trans you have.
'Warren and Brown' dual signal torque wrench, made in Australia, very expensive, commonly called a six inch torque wrench down under, very old design, not sure if made anymore.
I got this little 8 point socket for about $3 at Lowe's in the United States. Kobalt 1/4-in Drive 5/16-in Shallow 8-Point Standard (SAE) Socket Item # 338221 Model # 86431 www.lowes.com/pd/Kobalt-1-4-in-Drive-5-16-in-Shallow-8-Point-Standard-SAE-Socket/3455748

Thank-you! I didn't want to go to Sears because they don't support Trump or his daughter's products and Lowe's was less than 3 bucks!
