John Simmons is the first contestant to run in different year in US version of Millionaire, from 2000 to 2001. Beside UK version is Kathryn White, from 2001 to 2002. Also Simmons will face the jackpot question in next year.
Hi @warosm, as far as I know this weird aspect ratio issue never happened for other standard definition broadcasts such as Match Game from the 70's (which I seldomly watch by the way) and the 2006 version of "Chain Reaction." I do recall it happening last year during GSN's holiday stunt; however a different issue was faced as part of the broadcasts were zoomed. 2018 Wheel (season 36) starts Monday night at 9:00 Eastern; it may or may not be a holiday stunt for GSN.

This also happened with a contestant who was on US syndicated Millionaire in 2004 and won $500000; his name was Jeff Gross.
