You left the cylinder valves open. That's the steam coming out front. That's just for when you're starting from a stop to clear out any condensation. Also, the throttle and reverser work in tadem kind of like "gears" in a transmission - the faster you go, the less open it needs to be, which saves on steam pressure, allowing for more power to be delivered to the wheels. Also, brakes don't get left on unless you're coming to a stop - gotta modulate. Also, you ran out of water, which is why the locomotive stopped - always keep an eye on the 2 stripey boxes - water level must be in the glass or the boiler explodes.
@@Thomasthecarguy not necessarily wrong, just didn’t realise the specific function of each thing and how it works in connection with all of the other things. Steam locomotives are incredibly complicated to actually operate as we have seen here. Being able to run it in a Sim that’s fairly accurate on a game is pretty impressive. Regardless of things that may have been done out of order etc.
That's what I was saying the whole time. I was just like, "why did he leave the cylinder caux on the whole time?". It was confusing me because I know that the Flying Scotsmen can go way faster than 70 mph. Other than that though I didn't see much wrong, but i'm also not an expert and I don't know everything yet.
Camodo, heres some tips for driving a steam engine: Use the cylinder cocks to release steam from the pistons, at the top right of the screen there is a setting where you can see if any green, yellow, or red signals are, the red is for stop, hreen is for clear to go, and yellow means slow down and proceed with caution the next signal may be red, close the cylinder cocks when going 5-10mph, when going up hill use the sanders they will help you grip onto the rails better, dont open the regulator wide open because its easy to have wheel slip, use the ejectors to allow steam through the boiler and allow water into the boiler
Camodo: "do i have the same hot keys?" The lady next to him: *wtf are you talking about, you zoomer?* *that evil giggle was kinda cute.* Camodo: "do we shovel Bob's face into the hot coal?" Bob: *considers jumping out* I can't imagine why Emily "got fired".
The flying scotsman is a beutiful steam locomotive annd this is why being british is good because of our steam trains like the class a4s like mallard or sir nigel gresley but nothing beats the original scotsman btw this one he uses isnt the original it us the newer one just wanted to clarify the original one is number 4472 originaly 1472 with double tenders and the famous flying scotsman green oooo just amazing as you can tell i am obsessed with trains even some american ones like big boy and the challenger
Hey camodo, just wanted to check up on you. Hope making these many videos a day does not affect your mental health, if it does, slow down. We are all here for you.
Hey camodo, I have been commenting on your latest videos and I just want to say thank you so much for all the videos. Everyday I check my phone to see if there is a new video and every time I see one I immediately click on it. Thank you so much for all your hard work and keep it up.
Camodo: I love the way you think. The older train simulator game I played had a Big Boy pulling coal cars. Too slow for me, so I uncoupled them. Boy it ran a lot faster. I would have loved to be able to jump out of engine. Peace
If Comodo knew how to run the train correctly. he could go close to 110 mph, his first problem was he left the cylinders open, he was wasting a lot of air pressure that could have gone to the wheels. His second problem is that he left the reverser in the 75% position, when you get going fast you need to throttle it down. he should have had it at 10%. The higher the reverser is, the more power you feed to it, but the lower it is, the more speed you have.
17:32 is one of the worst mistakes you could make in your life, climbing out of the loco when the regulator is open and the loco is building up steam to move
When it says *go* to location, you dont need to stop there. You just drive through it. But when it says *stop* at location that's when you need to stop there
There's a certain part of a piston arm you have to measure how many inches apart is how fast you can go. If you go faster than that it starts falling apart
Camodo at least from my MS Train Sim days steam engines need the regulator advanced as you accelerate. Listen to the engine " talk " to hear when you got it right. As to speed in vintage locomotives look up NKP 765 Chicago 2016. The old gal was making every bit of the posted 70 mph passenger limits, not breaking a sweat and showing why Nickle Plate cabooses had High Speed Service painted on them.
More Train Sim World?
Yes please!
Ja (German for yes)
HELL YEA!!!
Yea yea yea!
👍🏻
Camodo is slowly turning into ob, what’s next ? Yea yea yea !

Wow, thats a lot of things camodo did wrong

i have over 200 hours in tsw and i still didn't know about that water mechanic
12:28: There actually is a corridor running through the coal storage. It was to to change crews on the move when running from London to Scotland.
There is on Scotsman. I walked through it
Tried to bow up The train❤ ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Comodo, there's a corridor in the tender (coal car) that you can walk through
Also, at 17:57 you can open the coach door to find said corridor

13:34 the reverser needs to be fully open to go faster I think
What do you got bob,can I push your buttons? 😂🤣🤣
Im literally playing the game right now

Day 15 of asking camodo to play Minecraft and war thunder 😊
As someone who primarily used steam locomotives in Train Sim 3 it hurts watching him do everything wrong 😂😂😂
Still love watching you after all this time!
OMMGGGG Camodo is driving Scotty???????
First
You flooded the boiler when you turned on the injector. 18:13 -ish. Also, infinit speed until the boiler explodes or fails .
😂😂😂
17:32 is one of the worst mistakes you could make in your life, climbing out of the loco when the regulator is open and the loco is building up steam to move
When it says *go* to location, you dont need to stop there. You just drive through it.
But when it says *stop* at location that's when you need to stop there
Camodo: How do you make this thing go faster?
Game:
He's literally playing OB simulator
I also saw the Big Boy when it came through KS, amazingly HUGE!!! I also just bought TSW4.
The regulator is a steam engine throttle, the reverser is the directer of travel.
camodo i have a tip for you with steam if you make your reverser to less you can make more speed and i know you like speed
As a train enthusiasts I think camodogaming shouldn't be a engineer aka train driver
Comodo: I love the sound of steam trains"
Ob would be like: I love the taste :D
There's a certain part of a piston arm you have to measure how many inches apart is how fast you can go.
If you go faster than that it starts falling apart
Fun fact: British steam locomotives are actually half our size, and british locos are half the size of the big boy
You should make this a series on camodo 2
Here’s an idea camodo make a RUclips video about going to the York railway museum it’s amazing!
Keep up the good work!
Well this is *super* weird, seeing Camodo running around in my local train station 😆
I have drove a steam engine before a miniature one
I just realize that going through that little pocket in the tender you probably could’ve gone into the coaches will the locomotive was driving😅

I NEED to see if you can actually crash one of these!
You should play teartown

Day:64 of asking camodo to do volcano survival in a submarine
39$ that pretty prizee for a jacket or switer
also up from the norm brakes are loco brakes to help slow down if you have an emergancy
Would love to see nore
overcharge is there to make sure if there are any stuck brakes that they will at least try to release because of the increased pressure
N OW
I am going to tell you something: To get to 200MPH set the reverser to 48% on forwards and you will be speeding
Dang
First?
Does anyone remember when Camodo misspelled Breaks
