Keep it up. With ebay consistency is key. Listing daily, shipping in a timely manner, and responding to customers all helps the ebay algorithm. The more you invest the more you get back out of it. Opening product is always tough to make money. And buying and re-selling singles is the way to go to get guaranteed profit. As well as buying sealed and re-selling the sealed product. Look into going to card shows and searching for bulk singles. Can make a lot of profit with that route!
I haven’t been into Sports cards since 2017-2018 and I remember always getting panani nfl boxes that would say “ auto or jersey card avg 1 out of 3 boxes” and the boxes would be $25-35 Now I have tried to get back into and now the same boxes at Walmart/target are $45 and are “ one color parallel card 1/3 boxes on avg “ What happened to the auto/jersey boxes , Have all companies moved away from this?
I started to get back into sports cars around 2020, the prices of retail boxes have went up to significantly over the last 2 years. It’s hard to find decent retail boxes anymore, I usually stick to buying singles when I am trying to buy for my personal collection and only rip retail for the fun of it, but doesn’t happen to often! I primarily collect baseball and I’ve found the donruss is relatively affordable $25-$35 a box and your guaranteed an auto or memorabilia card but they don’t have mlb licensing so the cards don’t have logos on them! I hope this helps! Thanks for the comment!!
Haven't collected since maybe 1995. The multiple sets, different series being released at different points in the year, and well Upper Deck in general destroyed my love of the hobby. These things today are out of control. Feels like an even more massive bubble than the junk wax days. If you want to grasp just how dumb it has gotten, I can buy a 1990 Topps complete factory set of football, depending on seller for $25 to $40. Now if I want to buy a 36 pack box of the same year, it's the same and higher than the complete set. And I totally understand the fun factor, but damn the prices are just out of control stupid.
That’s a great point! I think a lot of the reason is people forgot what it means to collect and that it’s a hobby. People get so excited to try and pull the 1/1 or auto cards and manufactures know that and increase the price. Thus causing collectors out of the market! Thanks for the support and comment!
Awesome channel. I just started eBay 3 months ago. I mostly do low end sports cards and have done $420 in sales on 110 orders. Small profits over time will eventually build up! Good luck to you and I hope you have a prosperous new year!
That is awesome! 👏🏻 Consistency is key with low end I have found, people can’t buy them if they’re not listed! Great job, happy new year! Thanks for the support!
If you consider yourself in business then why wouldn't you get an account at a wholesaler? You set up with biz checking? You have state sales tax certificate because it would save you money if you do continue to buy retail. Also needed if you ever sell at a show. Sounds like you are not running a sports card business. How are you selling your cards? Shows? Ebay has too much for fees unless you get a store. You seem like a good guy so if you need help hollar. Remember you never make money selling, you make it in buying. Why don't you view your consignment sales? Obviously you are making a percentage commission so just count that in your profits as well. Dude you cannot count all those purchases as expenses they are simply inventory. You need to learn how to do a balance sheet and profit loss statement. If you buy 100 box it is not and expense you will see your profit or loss when you sell that inventory.
@@sp123 Guessing you are not a lawyer. If you pay it upfront it does not negate the fact that you are obliged to charge and pay the sales tax on the sale. Also most shows will not give you a table without said certificate. It is also considered fraudulent and can be felony to conspire to defraud sales tax collection and payment. But hey it only matters if you get caught. Good luck.
Getting an account at a sports card while seller is not easy these days and even if you. (I have one) allocation kills any opportunity to get I. On popular brands. My vendor said I needed to buy half a million per year. To get allocated the top brands. 😢
What a fantastic video thinking for sharing it with me
Thanks for the support!

Reseller certificate is not all that. I'd rather pay taxes up front then on the back end.
