- We've been shooting some movie and tv cars lately but we've never gone back this far into the Fast & Furious franchise. Here's a great replica of the green Mitsubishi Eclipse driven by Paul Walker's character Brian O'Conner from the first Fast & Furious movie.
The owner Shawn has been working on this car for a year and is still in the process of getting this car as accurate as possible to the car seen in the movie.
Sit back and enjoy!

20 years later and this car still look freakin' glorious
"Hector is going to be running 3 Honda Civics with spoon engines. And on top of that, he just went into Harry's, and he ordered 3 T66 turbos, with NOS. And a Motec exhaust."
"So, what are you saying?
You're gonna check everybody's shit out,
one garage after another?"
Make it two and Harry...I need it by tonight
Lmao!!! Classic
So does anybody know if Harry’s still open or did Dominic win it in race wars lol,? ,,, but yeahh I need to order good racing engine parts for a 97 rs before o put a stage 3 nos on a stock block lol lol
"I need NOS..... I need NOS... My car topped out at 140mph this morning. I need one of these, one of the big ones, actually lets make it 2! And Harry, I need it by tonight!"
He's a COP!!!!
So fucking cool!!
we meet again
Man seeing the "Dude I almost had you" sticker was rough. Can't believe it was nearly 6 years ago already. Great video once again Shawn
Yeah. Always tough but I still love to remember. Feels right to me
Now it’s 11
Gotta love the Fast and Furious franchise, thanks for showing us the great recreation that's just about a year in progress, can't wait to see how he makes out on this and the RX-7 Veilside
Glad you enjoyed it and yeah, can’t wait to see the RX7. That’ll be a fun one
That background music totally takes you back to the first movie!
Brings you right back to the moment
I was in 6th Grade when The Fast and The Furious Came out. I always loved the Part when Brian test out his Car at the Park, and spins out at 140.
Thanks for posting this! The original Fast & Furious is one of my favorite movies. I have a lot of experiencing turboing the dodge version of that engine in Neons from back in the day! I believe the main difference are that the dodge head has the exhaust ports on the back instead of the front.
Sure brings you back to that original movie. Loved shooting this car and I’m looking forward to him giving it some hp and reshooting it
Dude what cool, fun and iconic car that just brings a smile to your face. This guy gets it. In an age of common 6 figure builds, this one is something most people could build on tight budget and have a lot of fun with. Thanks for the video Shawn!
Glad you got it!
I'm sure Paul and god are going head's up right now rip Paul you made the car scene what it is today i salute you bro.🚘🤙🙏😇😭
He sure did have a massive impact on the newer generation of enthusiasts! 👊
Damn, that opening gave me chills. Nostalgia galore! Epic episode once again man!
2001....times !!!! man can't believe it's already been that long ago. time really flies, I remember when that movie freshly came out and how much hype it had. neon paint schemes, stickers all over the place, manga graphics, the most outrageous bodykits and of course, the underbody neon lights.... everybody went crazy over that, but it was highly illegal in my country (germany) :D those cars and their US/JDM looks, that movie and its cars, man it really was a wild phantasy and every teenage motorist's wet dream. :D nice revisit.
Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for watching the channel. It’s funny that this is a very real part (a bit exaggerated) of LA. JDM. American muscle. Illegal street racing. It was fun to shoot this one. Looking forward to Shawn matching the power up to the looks which he says is in the works
I love that sticker " dude I almost had you" 👍🏼💯
It’s always good to see a person with passion!! Great video as always Bruh!!!!!
Thanks! I love the car world. Not limited to any one genre. We have a lot of fun shooting the videos. Thanks for watching and glad you like what we’re doing 👊
Does it have a 16 speed transmission though lol
Lol the endless shifting clips were always funny
*32
Na...only 12! 😂
parabéns ,fizeram o mundo acreditar que esse carro é elétrico ,de tão silencioso que é ,segundo o vídeo
Its an amazing machine. Someone definitely put in the wrench work
So much nostalgia. I loved the fact he has the computer too 😂🙌
Loved that! Made us all laugh when he pulled up and it’s sitting on the passenger seat
I have the opportunity to buy a replica that isn't quite finished but it is close. This is the car that made me want to be a car guy for as long as I can remember. RIP Paul, Thank you for the inspiration, and if I get the car, itll be a dream come true.
Awesome! Hope you get it and drive it
I have this memory of the original car being owned by some random dude in Santa Clarita.
I remember seeing the movie and thinking it was the same car or at least modeled after one I used to see on San Fernando Road in Santa Clarita all the time in 1999 an 2000.
But I could be wrong
I don’t know much about this car from the movie. Usually with a car used like that there’s multiple. A hero car and some stunt doubles.
I saw one of the movie cars... and it was a “movie car”... I was very disappointed. He did a great job on that car. Ricers aren’t my cup of tea, but that car inspired many young men to become car guys so it’s important.
That movie influenced a huge young generation of enthusiasts which I think is great. And yeah, movie cars up close usually aren’t very pretty. I’ve seen a lot of em
The car was obnoxious when the movie came out and still is. But it's a great hobby and a great effort in recreating the car from the movie. Both Eclipse's are average base cars. The RX7 on the other hand... Even stock is a very nice car.
Yeah but so fitting of the time. I’m looking forward to seeing his RX7 when complete.
The eclipse gsx and eagle talon tsi are awd turbo beasts.
At 4:25 the passengers on the SUV are taking photos of the Ecplise. LOL
Oh I realized that they are probably the camera crew of this program, since they are holding professional cameras
Yeah, that’s our guys shooting some roller shots. We’re not pro enough to have them not show up 😂
That's an awesome video guys. So cool to see that beauty out on the road. Thanks for sharing!
You’re welcome and glad you enjoyed it. The owner drives it regularly which I think is cool 😎
"We're not going to dodger stadium today & we're definitely not going 140mph.."
Me: Aww Mann..why not!😭
Cause there’s no way this car as is will hit 140 😂
I’m sure I would’ve liked it anyway, Sean...but I hit the thumbs up as soon as I heard your intro song choice 🤣 well done!
That was all Kyle right there and he nailed it!!
This is sweet. And If you get a chance would love to see the Red RX7 you talked about. (Kinda a Rotary freek)
Shawn is building the red RX7 now which I can’t wait to see! And I’m looking forward to this one after he gets the mechanical elements complete (power!!)
cool man! watched this in hs while parting :) very cool. got me into cars. I remember going to a street racing thing after that. Kind a like in the movie. nuts :)
Men and their hobbies, gotta love it.
Awesome car. Great job on the car.
Wouldn't have gone with neon green myself, but it's still my fav car in the first movie. 🚗
Had to go this color to replicate though?
Awesome! Needs more NOS!
And I need it by tonight!
People can debate about which Fast and Furious Movie is the best one, but the first one is what started it all! The more recent movies may have a budget that is multiple times what the first film originally cost to make, The ability to add the biggest stars in Hollywood to the cast ensemble, and much more extreme stunts. However there is something totally timeless about part 1. If Universal didn't make any sequels, the original movie would certainly be cult classic...
Very cool.
Really takes you back
@@AutotopiaLA Flying into Burbank Sunday. Any brunch spot recommendations?
i really am jealous ~ great progress 👍
This is great! Always loved that car.
And he’s still working on it
beautiful ride
And he’s still getting it right. Cool replica for sure
Just buy the correct rear bumper from ebay . That is all it needs for now.
"Service engline light" showing, lol.. It's common nowadays to all 95-99 eclipse and to all imports from 90's.. Even skylines get "check engine light showing".
Definitely common in this era car
My Dream car :)
So awesome
THANK YOU LOVE THOSE VIDS!!
I like the tuna here.
No one likes the tuna here.
Yeah, well I do.
👊
Hey I have one of those sitting in garage, haven't seen it for couple of years. But will try to rebuild it one day.
Do it!
Wonder if it's got a floor pan 🤔
More f&f cars .great videos
More to come I promise
Damn i love it
And when he gets power happening it’ll be so much cooler
Much love bro
Big baby tape ft. Kizaru - bandana. Song 00:05
i click to watch this video and the first ad to show is the Mitsubishi Eclipse crossover...sad day
Crazy! That is pretty sad
It's some what good but not there yet. The worst is the rear bumper nd spoiler. It wouldn't look too bad if the spoiler was little more accurate nd rear bumper is wrong nd exhaust. The hood was Carbon Fiber nd F1 style Carbon Fiber mirrors. But it's still got some good accurate parts. I understand its hard to find parts for these cars especially they are extremely expensive as well as Rare (hard to find)
wrong bumper and rims. but looks great. Does anyone know the color code by chance ?
So this is the 420a neon engine?
Now for a real recreation of the fast 1 1970 charger.
Soon, we’ll shoot the Charger used in 4&5. Better than the first one and not a tribute or recreation car
It blew up in the movie, remember?
Oh yeah but this is a replica. Hopefully it doesn’t blow up 😬
Where did you get the decals
💯💪🔥
I heard there is a shop in Alabama turning out clones of this.
Cool. Didn’t know that
spoiler alert
did the original actually blow up in the movie?
In the movie it did...then he drove it with Dom and ran from the cops...wish all blown motors worked as well as this one did 😂
@@AutotopiaLA no no I mean after getting shot by the asian bikers gang
@@AutotopiaLA Hopefully they blew up the 420A... Don't ever try to turbo one unless you like a garage full of messed up engines...
You're wrong. That's the car from Sex Drive. :-)
It's crazy to see how far that franchise how influenced the car scene. I love the movies but it's funny to go bad to that movie and see how awfully it was put together....lmfao😂🤣 how it really almost didn't make it past 2 really bc the 3rd was way out there then 4 was almost a remake and now there going to make 9 and i believe 10 and Paul Walker became a legend RIP
The only problem with this car - you can't ride with family in this one...
Ik that guy !
One ☝️ of Paul Walker’s Brian O’Connor cars 🚗 in the first sequel of the movie 🎥🍿 and it is twenty years history in the making! Paul Walker’s Brian O’Connor will be in these two final movies 🍿🎥 and will be portrayed by his brothers Caleb Walker and Cody Walker! Cody Walker will be portraying two characters as Brian’s biological brother and CGI Paul Walker’s character CGI character Brian O’Connor! Every actors characters of Jesse, Vince, Hector, Harry, Slap Jack, Suki will all be returning to these two final movies 🍿🎥
Where’s the roof scoop..............
Build in progress. He’s still sourcing parts
Whats the music?
Dude i almost had you . you almost had me you never had you car
Ha!!!
for Gods sake Lower that shit!! lol
Wow... Crappy start... Not even 4G63... My friend had stock silver with the 4G63... Upgraded the turbo and no NOS but it was fun and pulled hard esp on open roads
As soon as i saw that sunroof i knew replica
Yep. He’s working on getting it right.
Wrong rims
It’s a work in progress. He’s constantly working on sourcing parts which aren’t easy to come by
Wrong wing and rear bumper
Like he said in the video...it’s a work in progress
That exhaust has to go looks like shit sorry just being honest where he get it autozone other then that beautiful car right on the money
He’s still working on this car. 1 year and still sourcing parts and building it little by little. Let’s give him time and see it (and drive it) when it’s complete?
crap ton is wrong on it and its a 95 not a 99
200-300hp... uh huh :P
Just a little gap and not quite accurate
The decals give you 100 h.p. duh
👍🇧🇷✌👏👊
สิดพิตุ
Not real 😪😪😪😪😪😪😪
Nope. That’s why we said that. But still cool that Shawn is sourcing parts from all over the world to recreate the car
200hp haha doubtful
A lot of things wrong on this car, not too much effort, gas cap is wrong, rear bumper is wrong, engine colors are wrong, no roof scoop, deff no sun roof, shouldnt have the antenna loll, shouldnt have the windshied wipers lol...only thing true is the rims, seats, steering wheel, paint and decals...Nice try
Exactly
