@@ZeldaSews Powernet, power mesh, and stretch mesh are all in the category of mesh fabrics. Powernet is a more structured, more compressive version. It is often used for corsets, more firm bands in bras, and shapewear.

I have just remembered this rhyme I heard a long time ago when I was a schoolboy. It is on the theme of underwear without elastic. Your video has reminded me of it…… We three kings of orient dare/ To sell ladies underwear./ Most fantastic,/ No elastic./ Only a shilling a pair……. That old rhyme is probably long defunct because we no longer have shillings.
😆 it seems *all* school rhymes are so strange!
One sign of growing older is that we may remember jokes or rhymes which amused us when we were much younger and they no longer seem particularly funny, sometimes we can realise they were a bit dim!
@@ianellis-ih3dd I remember a few from school, too - 🤣 and I can’t believe we were all singing such odd things whilst jump roping. I guess the rhyming is the fun part.
One last word of mine on this matter. It can be the same with T.V shows and films we enjoyed when we were school kids. We may watch them in later life, for old times sake, and realise how far fetched they were.

Wait a minute. So why are undies so dang expensive if they are this easy to make? 😮 Seriously, Wacoal charges ~$16 for one pair! 😠
Isn't it crazy? I think they may be expensive because they are necessities. We'll buy them because we need them, and if they're cute we'll pay MORE! 😂
What you mean by easy to make exactly. A person with skill in the makes it look easy, but I'm wondering if u made a pair before commenting. 1st u have to have a sewing machine and supply the machine with all that's necessary: Electricity, ball point sewing needle, matching thread; Then u have to have appropriate material, which doesn't grow on trees, and pick of the material greatly impacts the quality, and fit. (u have to know how to pick the right elasticity)
Then u have to purchase a pattern, or draft ur own, either way u paid - for pattern or education ($13.50 dollar pattern isn't expensive but a pair of done knickers are???)
Then u have to cut the pattern and pay attention to grain. ofc for this u need pins and scissors.
Eventually, u do have to follow the tutorial if u're not a lingerie seamstress, this one is free, but good luck achieving the ~$16 for one pair Wacoal look (by that I mean neatness in sewing). The stretchy fabric is running everywhere and the small pieces have to be put together stretched just right so there's no snapping, wonky or uncomfortable seams later.
Ofc u know how to finish off ur seams and hide or snip the ends... (Im not even gonna go into all the prices relevant if u're using a serger and not just a home sewing machine.)...
I mean...
By all means dont shop "dang expensive 16$" ones, make ur own.
The clothing industry is the worst on the planet with it's exploiting of skill labor across the globe . Everything is sewn by somebody, if it's very cheap, it's likely VERY unethically produced.
I hope everyone pics up some needle and thread.
