"We don't feel like people should be profiting from a child without an arm." Great line right there.

If a 20 second ad at the end of a video about a breakthrough in prosthetic arms bothers you, you need to set your priorities straight.

Why the heck would anybody dislike this video?

Is this an endorsement for Microsoft OneNote? Yes. Does that matter? Not really. The point of this video is the use of technology to improve the lives of others. I fully support this group making affordable prosthetics, esepcially for children, and if they can get more funding or financial help and more exposure through a Microsoft OneNote endorsement, more power to them. This is incredible.

Why would anyone dislike this? If someone dislikes this, that implies that they're against making 3-D printed arms that are sponsored by Microsoft.

the trouble with prosthetics that some people dont realize is that EVERY, SINGLE, ONE, of them has to be custom designed to fit the recipient. its not like clothes where it just has to kind of fit. not everyone has the same body size or the same amount of missing limb. the ability to quickly make custom designs with 3d printers is surely what will solve this problem. in a few decades all you will hav to do is get your nerves mapped out and body measured then in 6-8 business weeks youll hav a limb.

This is the reason I love the scientific spirit: it's all about collaboration and union within the species and with nature. If only we didn't live in a world where progress was limited by money (or a lack of it). But in some ways, that makes the endeavour all the more commendable and inspiring. Thanks for this :)

I'm hoping I can help as many people as they do when I graduate high school. It's a great feeling to see the smiles on these kids faces
