Anyone commenting "Umm, Joe Rogan isn't conservative." either hasn't watched his show in the past few years or thinks I haven't. Rogan has taken more and more right-wing positions following the 2020 election, and he keeps company with all these men. We don't live in the past. We live in the present. Don't try to fool me with common deflection talking points. I woke up earlier than you this morning.

A similar step to the right ( timewarp notwithstanding ) has been apparent in our own UK annoying fud - Russel Brand. This clarty midden has a rapey type personality concealed behind a thesaurus like ability to bullshit all who come into contact with the gaslighting cock womble. I hate him more because he tries to hide behind an enlightened hippy persona. Rogan looks and sounds like a standard meathead with alpha male issues ( does anyone still believe this shite? ffs this is a classification of wolves and their pack hierarchy ). To witness him tacking right was no surprise at all. Enjoying your channel btw

I think the brick aesthetic also comes in as cosplaying the working class through warehouse buildings. The whole genre of industrial interior design plays on being close to raw materials of the earth and insinuating that you yourself used your hands to work them into furniture lol

6:32 Another reason I think that conservatives and rightwingers are more pro-police/pro-military is because they not only enforce hierarchy in the areas in which they operate (within communities and geopolitics, respectively), but the institutions themselves are rigidly hierarchical by design (higher ranks give orders, lower ranks follow orders, without question), which is very appealing to the conservative/authoritarian/fascist mindset.

    • @bluedotdinosaur
      @bluedotdinosaur Год назад

It has been said that the fundamental personality which leads to views we categorize as conservative, is based on insecurity. Conservatives are highly insecure about social stability and status. They don't trust humanity. They believe people are inherently "wild" and dangerous without a firm hand pressing down on them - it's for the greater good.
Societal enforcers given authority to oppress their fellow citizens are seen by the conservative mind as part of the natural structure of the only possible organization of human beings. Supporting these institutions equates packing firmer earth into the foundation of society. For the fascist-conservative, the police are more important than food and water - without order, there can be no society to manage the food in the first place so why bother?

Most of these guys grew up in left leaning parts of the US and have no actual political beliefs. This is just an act for them.
They wanted to be actors, writers, or directors, but didn't have the talent to make it happen. Instead, they found rich, right-wing backers who wanted them to play the part of aggrieved conservatives. They are more than willing to play that part and cash their paychecks.

That’s it. There’s always been this rather performative and artificial sense, like they’re constantly licking which ever boots they’ve been told to every day. That said:
-There is a sense of bitterness and hate driving them , sort of “I failed, so everyone else must be miserable”
-Of all of them, Walsh specifically actually does seem less performative and that this neo-fascist opinion is his genuine belief, which wouldn’t surprise me as he’s always struck me as the most unhinged of the lot.

Technically, I will note that Tucker Carlson has a background in journalism, since his first jobs out of college (having failed to join the CIA, as he wanted), were with newspapers, and he worked in semi-respectable news outlets for around a decade as a "reasonable Republican voice", before going more right-wing right around the Obama presidency.
It's probably this background that led to his first memoir openly acknowledging that his first TV appearance was based on a lie by omission: he got back from a lunch early, and rather than tell a receptionist that he knew "basically nothing" about the OJ Simpson trial, he agreed to appear on Dan Rather's 48 hours that evening as "an expert".

Until I finally figured out the lowest common denominator at the core of ALL conservative ideology was to preserve the status quo or expand a caste social, economic and political system based on the race, gender and religious identity politics of conservative, straight, white Christian males defined to marginalize everyone else because they believe power is a zero sum game and any equality marginalized groups gains represents a loss in power for the traditional white Christian male patriarchy. Which is why due to Americas changing racial demographics and election of the first non-white president in American history we have experienced the massive white supremacist racist backlash that resulted in a populist fascist political movement based on nationalism wiling to engage in violence to advance its political agenda that elected Donald Trump and resulted in the Jan. 6th attack on the U.S. Capital.

    WE ARE POOR.
What they enjoy is the idea our lives evoke rather than the reality. If they lived even a fraction of our existence and then still maintained a conservative outlook, they would be showing themselves for the idiots they are. I only mention this because where they live can afford good education, us "poors" in small towns can't. And so many conservative ruralites are victims of their own existence. There's nothing wrong with bisexual lighting and its perfectly valid at any budget. In fact, if I were a video creator with an obscene budget I'd make a point to occasionally film outdoors in broad daylight with ridiculously bright colors that the bisexuality drowns out the sun.

I never noticed this before, but the part where Ben Shapiro strikes a match... I don't think that was him. I don't think he knows how to strike a match!

Hey, I"m a bisexual communist with swords on my wall. The sword guy aesthetic is not limited to straight right wingers. I also really like bricks because to me, they suggest a kind of permanence to the construction. A deliberateness that values the building being the way it is for a long time, and not needing to be replaced soon. I think this is a value shared by conservatives, and I don't necessarily think it's a bad thing.

The funniest part of all these guys trying to be hyper masculine, it’s they’re always the weakest ones. Trying so hard to over compensate, for something.

The weak minded always try to portray strength of body. But even there it's quite often a facade, which you can usually parse through their diets. Especially when they portray such things as smoking cigars as "masculine", rather than the triathlete who is vegan.

I love how they love to complain about people “identifying” as anything and yet they all identify as comedians, despite being less of a comedian than the average doorstop.

Crowders comparison of a rapist choosing victims to carjacking a 98 Oldsmobile is very flawed.
    1. The older a car is, the easier it will be to Hotwire.
    2. The older the car is, the less anyone will care that it’s stolen.
    3. As the car in question gets older, the crime of stealing it shrinks, until maybe nobody misses it.
    4. If you want to get away with it, you’ll stick to the Oldsmobiles and escorts and other easily replaced cars.

There is zero chance all of these guys legitimately enjoy smoking cigars and sipping whiskey. Nothing against anyone who does, I like whiskey. But it's so fucking performative it has to be fake from at least some of these guys.
