These trains have some impressive acceleration, but not quite to the level of the Alstom Coradia Stream, which is the fastest non maglev accelerating 200km/h EMU ever made.
Will be interesting to see how the Long distance FLIRT trains will be in 2026. Seen some renders of them already, but it was said those renders weren't final.
Thank you for making this video and your other Norway train videos. I'm visiting in October and found these extremely helpful, especially when it came to showing the train facilities, info regarding seat reservation, showing that there are overhead compartments for small luggage items, that there is wifi and power, etc. I haven't found the Vy or Eurail websites to be as clear about this, so seeing the trains, tracks and hearing a first hand perspective on what it's actually like riding on this system is extremely helpful and I feel a lot better about visiting. One question though. In your recent video about the Flytogo high speed train from the Oslo airport, you showed touch screen kiosks for purchasing tickets. Is there a similar system for Vy? Will I be able to get off the plane at the Oslo airport and easily buy a Fjerntog ticket to Trondheim or Bergen? Also, should I reserve for F line (long distance) trains or are they as accessible as regional trains?
Dank voor deze informatieve video! Dat komt ons goed van pas op onze treinreis door Noorwegen later dit jaar.
Dat is fijn om te horen.
