    I actually find washing machine videos very soothing. It puts me to sleep.

  • @BlackPill-pu4vi

    Yep, I used a piece of foam rubber to trick the lid lock on my ancient Kenmore washer. The kind of washer that made America great! Mechanical controls. The kind that makes a loud ratchet sound as you turn it around to start the cycle. TWO SPEEDS, fast and slow. No "sensing." Dual action agitator, direct drive, a full tub of water, and it's done in under 40 minutes.
    Nobody lives with me so I can leave the lid open the whole time if I want.

    Wow super high efficiency with that full tub of water. I know this is a select cycle but u gotta figure a non he direct drive washer uses just the same amount of water when it fills up all the way, actually probably uses less because the tub is smaller in a direct drive washer.

    HE washers are designed to primarily use friction to clean the clothes (it’s the part that actually cleans them) so you don’t need very much water nor soap. Also, the bottle of soap that you poured into the machine is designed to use the cap as a measuring cup.

    • @AMDRADEONRUBY
      @AMDRADEONRUBY Год назад

      @ericknoblauch9195 6 дней назад

      It does not clean your clothes. Has poor agitation, and when your clothes are done they are all twisted, and wrinkled. I hate this machine. You also have to pre treat your stained or soiled clothing with Shout.

  • @CarnelianClout
    @CarnelianClout Год назад +3

    The major downside in this machine is that it is not a dual action agitator, just seems to go back band forth instead of doing a proper motion. It's a rather nice machine all things considered, I'd never get myself an impeller washer to say the least.

    • @AMDRADEONRUBY
      @AMDRADEONRUBY Год назад +1

      My rebadged Insignia (made by FRIGIDAIRE) is not a dual action agitator and still do a better job than this washing machine mine wash like a Mix of HE and non HE machines

    • @BlackPill-pu4vi
      @BlackPill-pu4vi Год назад +2

      Got to have the dual agitator to roll the clothes properly. My vintage Kenmore direct drive washer is still going. Had to replace a motor coupling but, that wasn't hard. I thought I'd take off the outer tub to pressure wash the inside but, it is stuck on and no amount of moving would free it. STILL, I'd rather have my old washer than these modern machines.

    • @CoreyDeWalt
      @CoreyDeWalt Год назад +2

      @@BlackPill-pu4vi I used a Kenmore from the 80s for a short time while I was waiting on my new washing machine in the mail. I hated that I had to get rid of it because it made beautiful sounds and was the exact model I grew up with. Brought back childhood memories living with my grandparents.

    • @BlackPill-pu4vi
      @BlackPill-pu4vi Год назад

      @@CoreyDeWalt That direct drive sound is unique.
      Remember when grandma would spin the dial to the start position and it would make that ratcheting sound? Pull on the dial to start. A solid click from a relay. Lots of water pours in and no computer to busybody with the drum while checking every single ounce.
      No modern washer makes those kind of quality noises. The kind that say this is a solid washer and Grandma will get your clothes clean.

  • @kH-bv8ix
    @kH-bv8ix Год назад

    Thanks for the video. I talked to the local appliance stores. They agree. It's not a great model. You can trick it by turning it off and on so it doesn't ruin the fabric. HE washers are not good with all kinds of fabric.

    My grandma actually had a washer that had a clean with a fresh cycle and that cycle was pretty rough because when it was done, my grandma would look in there and she would still see some residue from the actual chemical cell so she tried again used actual rents, and that never fix the problem

      Heck, Nathaniel Sullivan had that exact Machine before he replaced his with a Kenmore DD, & then got rid of his Kenmore & now his Whirlpool that he also has takes it’s place, even though it unfortunately doesn’t have the Extra Rinse Option, as Extra Rinse wasn’t introduced until the later Machines.

    • @JordanU
      @JordanU  6 месяцев назад +2

      I don't understand what the point of having the tub spin is. Like everything else, washing machines are not what they used to be and probably never will be. When this one fails, it will be replaced with a vintage model.

      I would love an old working Maytag from 2003. I would take that any day over this machine. When this one goes it will be replaced with an old Maytag from the Iowa factory, or a Speed Queen.

  • @MinecraftPro97k
    @MinecraftPro97k Год назад +1

    that agitator is useless. All it does is push clothes down and then pull it back up while the wash plate at the bottom rolls clothes up in a ball. But that "agitator" is gonna break off soon. If it does, it will perform the same without it.
    to be honest, you should have gotten the Amana with the dual action agitator.

    Hey, can I request that you do a Full Cycle Video of Normal with Heavy Soil Level, let’s do Hot Wash Temperature, & 2 Rinses with Softener, -& Deep Water Wash- (Correction: After the FW0 Model, it removes the Deep Water Wash Option from the Normal Cycle on the FW1 Model & it continues on the FW2 Model that you have there, to have the Deep Water Wash Option removed from the Normal Cycle, leaving with the only Option on that Cycle of Auto-Sense. In other Words, on the FW1 & later revision Models, the Normal Cycle defaults to Auto-Sense on the Water Level Option.)?
    Whenever you run the Washer on the Normal Cycle, here’s how it works for the Rinses:
    If you put it on 1 Rinse without the Softener, it’ll do just the Spray Rinse.
    If you put it on 1 Rinse with the Softener, it’ll do the Deep Rinse ‘cause of the Softener that needed to be added in to keep the stuff smooth & not so stretchy.
    If you put it on 2 Rinses, whether with or without the Softener, it’ll do the Deep/Spray Rinse Combo in how that Machine works it, the 1ST Rinse’ll do the Deep Rinse, then the 2ND Rinse’ll do the Spray Rinse.
    On my Mother’s Whirlpool WTW6120HC3, for the Normal & Quick Wash Cycles, it’s the other way around, as if Extra Rinse is turned on for those 2 Cycles, the 1ST Rinse’ll do the Spray Rinse, then the 2ND Rinse’ll do the Deep Rinse.
