Great advice and good tutorial. The only thing I would change is it might not be a good idea as a beginner to paddle out to the main peak. You work your way there as you learn.
Thanks for the video! I still don't know how to surf, but tried by myself for an afternoon and then had one lesson a few years later. Forget turning. My biggest problem was that I didn't know how to actually catch the wave. Where in the wave do you start, and how do you get going? What size waves give you the best chance at catching them (without killing you in the process)?
My biggest problem on my first day after the lesson was I couldn't get past the wash out to the break i got too tired and the waves kept crashing me back

thx for the comment! i think you should start with knee high waves for start. it's ideal for beginners!
Can’t to off the lip, my board wouldn’t turn, even i pressed so hard on my back foot

Try to go on smaller days. Like knee high waves. This day was actually pretty big for beginners. Good luck 👍
