Wow! I was just about to set mine up for AX but, think I'll stick to Krait II after seeing this.. Thankx for the vid - probably saved me a few re-buys!!
I use 3 gauss and one flack. 3 to exert and 2 (underbelly and same side pylon) to attack the heart. It still isn't "good" but it's a little less tedious than one at a time like that. It's just hard to let go of the spppppeeeeeeeedddddddd!!!!
Instead of doing solo, will the clipper be a nice AX support vessel? I mean, will it's wide hardpoints can be handy to blow up swarms and use the class 7 slot to quickly repair my friends?
Yes that could work really well, it has the speed to get to other wingmates quickly and the wide hardpoints would be greally good for flak spread if you had them mounted on each side
Got any tips for triggering the swarm into Kamikaze? The method I'm aware of is flying through it and away, orbit over 3km and approach slowly. But it doesn't allways work and I'm not sure I can control the number of thargons that will get pulled towards me. Plus it is really chaotic to do in wings and exposes allies to the overwhelming damage.
why would you want to trigger them into suicide attack? we actively try to avoid this at all costs. but yes, flying into the swarm toggles them between suicide/normal mode
@@Citizen_Kate I'm nowhere near the skill lvls of players like yourself, but I have a love for the Imperial Eagle, I'm trying to go all Gauss and have been exploring ways to get rid or lower the swarm count without using the flak.
if you insist on using the imperial eagle and going flakless the best course of action would be to avoid the swarm altogether. The swarm will only missile attack if they fly through someone. if a swarm missle attacks you, wait until the missiles have exploded then fly through the swarm to reset them back to non-missile mode. the imperial eagle has very little hull strength so i definately would not recommend it as a beginner ship. You would be better served in a Krait MK2 as a beginner, or at the very minimum the diamondback scout, which is a very capable AX ship
Subbed, because with your voice and accent, this sounds like a documentary. :)
Awesome... love these Unbiased, Hard fact AX Vids.... Nice Work out there Cmdr... o7

Kate Kondoo: this ship does not spark joy.

I love seeing you make that Clipper Dance.

@@Citizen_Kate Exactly what I thought, and maybe I will try it out this week, as I already got a retired clipper without practical use.
You have my attention, Sir. Pls, tell me more.
Look at it though 👌🏻 work of art.
I subbed also - your videos are good though. I have a Clipper and want to know if it will stand up to AX.
There's no way I could do that playing with a controller. If I wanted to be that good I'd have to get a HOTAS. What were you using for this?
