Lucien Carbin & All-Style Muay Thai Brendan Dorman Breakdown Highlights
Lucien Carbin is a Surinamese-Dutch former kickboxer, karateka and widely considered one of the most accomplished and unique striking coaches in modern history. Carbin, via trial and error, always sought to be a MIXED martial artist in regards Kickboxing / Muay Thai. This was the impetus of "Carbin All-Style Muay Thai" at the Fighting Factory Carbin, in Amsterdam.
He was the first European champion in Kyokushin karate. Carbin was also was a world champion in Kickboxing and European Champion in Savate and Muay Thai. As a coach, he raised 49 world champions in different versions of martial arts. The two students I will focus on here are two friends in Tyrone Spong, and Priscilla Davids (on Instagram @pris.dam ). Some amazing technical pad work, and eventually the pipe dream of seeing a World-Class, versatile and athletic striker competing in MMA a la Spong's debut in WSOF.
Carbin has trained a list of who's who including: Alistair Overeem, Rob Kaman, Gilbert Yvel, Ilonka Elmont, Sergio Wielzen, Andy Ristie, Frank Lobman, James McSweeney, Rodney Glunder, and Tiffany van Soest.
