Excellent talk. I'm also a vampire history hobbyist myself. If I was giving a talk on the evolution of the literary vampire, it would have been just like this.
This video is an invaluable resource! I already own The Vampyre, Varney, Carmilla, and Dracula, but I would love to track down the other stories and poems you mentioned here. Thank you so much for your important research, and for posting this video!
OMG, you are totally welcome! Yeah, there are some good ones in there, for sure. I think The Mysterious Stranger might be my favorite, but it's tough to choose. :) Thanks for watching, man!
Absolutely! Although it wound up being so long that I'm now going to have to split it into two parts! But yeah, hopefully I get that posted before the summer. Fingers crossed. Thanks for asking about it! You got a vampire society waiting on it?
I think The Corpse The Blood-Drinker by Pu Songling would technically be older than 1748 unless we only go by print. EDIT: And is about a female vampire.

I am very happy to hear that, Matthew. Great minds think alike! Thanks for watching it!

You're a really good public speaker, Sean!
Why thank you!
Vampire mythology was creates in my country hehe❤️❤️🔥
I haven’t watched Lilith yet, but I’ve seen Carmilla - I cannot wait for your breakdowns of the other vampires!
Hot Damn, Mike! Thanks for saying so!
Great talk Sean! Very informative and interesting!
Looks like a great crowd too! I loved the cheer Mary Shelley got!
I know, right? Thanks, Alex! I always appreciate you watching. :)
I just wanted to let you know, enjoyed youŕ talk on Vampires and also Dracula as well. 😂

Hey Sean, I remember you talking about the vampire society video for the "Your Vampire Project" compilation, just wanted to ask of that's on the way
