My dad has kept the very first tractor he bought, a McCormick-Deering, although it was already 20 years old then. He calls it Old Faithful, and it just keeps on going, perfect for little jobs around the farm. He likes that he can do the maintenance and most of the repairs himself, unlike his new machines.
Great tractors those JD B's. I am not a green paint kind of guy, but they are good tractors. Solid metal, no plastic, they take a licking and just keep running. I have an old 1949 Allis Chalmers WD, solid metal there also. Its a gasoline burner and fires right up in the winter. Has some issues in the summer with vapor lock, but these old tractors, regardless of who made them, are worth keeping and having. So easy to get to everything on them. You guys keep pumping out real working men videos and I like watching them. Nothing like us Kansas boys. Go Wildcats.
My dad always fed out his own calves, about 45, and would buy enough for a semi load to sell. Silage and his home grown grain. Ground his own with a tractor and feed mill. Lots of manual labor. But the best beef every time. I miss the food but not the scooping feed! Lol!
Hey guys nice fix on the lights! I feed some cattle too and was wondering if you would do a video on the fencing and size of your pens in your feedlot. I dont care if it is sketchy. Thanks for the video!
I grew up with a 47 B that you spun the flywheel to start and a 50s model R. The B didn't have an electrical system other than the spark plug system. I love old John Deeres.
Hi 🙋♀️ from Saskatchewan. I do buy local meat and eggs from a local butcher. I am allergic to store bought eggs and hamburger. Thankfully I can eat without getting sick; the meat and eggs from our local butcher.
Thanks for another great video. It was interesting and enjoyable. Congratulations on the new used combine. What model is it???! Could not tell from the computer screen. Are you adding a combine or replacing one?????? Trust you can find a trucker to haul it for you. Find it close by or a ways away????! Looked like a nice one. Always jobs on a farm. The old B needed some lights fixed. Those old tractors will go forever with some attention. Good old tractor yet. It seems your cattle operation always has some new ones either coming or going. Keeps you busy for sure. I remember having our own meat processed. Always thought the meat was better. About it for now. You all take care and be safe. May god watch over all of you. Looking forward to the next video. Thanks for everything. The Iowa farm boy. We just had eleven inches of snow here in Central Iowa. Wow.
I hope you don't have a family member like my sister who won't eat lamb (unless cooked by her partner) in case it is a close and personal relation to one of ours. I personally prefer our own privately butchered as the cuts are a lot better with the chops being about 3 times as thick as anything the supermarkets have
I love seeing the old Deeres still working on the farm
Loved the motivational talk with the cows! They really seemed to be listening! Not comprehending, but listening! God Bless and farm safe!

One of my favorite tractors to drive was the old reliable John Deere B. We also had an International M, John Deere 1020 and a John Deere 2030 Diesel.
Great job with the video Kendal! I love your humor and the authenticity of your presentation.

Kitty seems to enjoy the hay ride!
The cows were very attentive while Kendal was asking them not to poop on their dinner plate!! Hopefully they understood every word.
Good video today....a little bit of everything.
