I wrote a reply, but i dont know what happened. I basically said that you should use the cables from a molex connector. It has 4 cables, 1 yellow (12 volts apparently), 2 blacks (ground), 1 red(5 volts), some power supplies have different colors or none at all so be careful. Look on Google how a molex connector looks like to be sure
Thanks for the upload, I just used a Dell power supply for my Xbox. My XBOX powerbrick literally fried itself to death. Ripped open my sister's old pc, and bam!! I did use the power input cord from my broken brick, and your instructions helped me find the right wiring. Awesome bro!!
First off this video made me subscribe to your channel, the ingenuity & Balls u have to try that & get it work without cooking Ur Balls, makes me wanna see what else u try! Keep up the good work bro!!
U are the first bro. Love from uk. U made it so simple, 5v 12v. And ground ,, Straight to point. U bossed this, I saultute u. I found a 360s no nothing but had external 250gb HD in it. Just want see green or red light.
Haha.. that's all I needed to no dude.. do you no how many different word phrases I type in to find this then I finally typed in " Xbox One voltage " And bang..you nailed exactly what I needed to know .. I was just about to pull it apart all the way to see if this was written on the mother board some were near the power entry plugs were it is soldered on .. Thank you. From Brisbane australia...johnny
It actually works. I have one that I didn't care if died during the process of this hack... But it actually worked well for me. Thank you for uploading the video.
My way is different i had the psu it just doesnt work so i cut the cable stripped it and did the pinout to the atx psu Attach green psu wire to the black psu wire then attach them both to black in the power cable Then take purple psu cable attach it to red then connect yellow to yellow of the psu cable no need for the other wires but only works on the S model and psu cable
got a power supply from Amazon for my Xbox 360 S and when I pulg it in the back of my 360 it's crooked instead of straight it truns on but it is not a authentic power supply I just wanan know is that normally crooked or is it supposed to be straight? and should I just get an Authentic used power supply from ebay
ATTENTION EVERYONE, this tip is good, but the 12V yellow wire connected in this way is very close to the GROUND's internal connection, so if the yellow wire touches the GROUND it will damage the xbox.
Negative must be in common. You can't use 2 different power supply. You use only 1 power supply, take from it 12v and negative and, using a dc-dc converter, from 12v you will have 5v.
I think that means the 360 has an internal fault.i have 360 slims that i just tried this with, and all 3 responded the exact same way. With just the 5v and gound they only ding when pressing the power or eject buttons. When you give them 12v the system fan goes to 100%,but the buttons no longer work. Turn the 12v off and the buttons start dinging again. By manually applying 12v,you are bypassing the 360 power supply switch that applies 5v to the 12v enable when you hit the button. So i believe in my situation all 3 360s have a hardware fault that is causing them to ding when pressing the power button, but not turn on.
I wonder what would happen if i just said fuck it and put 12 volt in both then. Lol jk But on a real note idk if im understanding what you said properly, but what i got out of that was that in the xbox once you actually power it on in order for the 12 v to start it needs the 5v? (As like a quick shock id be guessing?)
@@shawnowens9749 the 5v from the power supply is always turned on throughout the system when the power supply is pluged in. When you press the power button on the system it will send that 5v to the 12v enable pin on the power supply which then turns on the 12v and the 360 can power on and function. I am still in the early stages of trying to figure out what could be the cause for this issue, but it seems to be many different causes. I found most of the Capacitors on the motherboard near the power plug have Continuity across them, which doesn't seem right and points to there being a short somewhere.. Its not normal for the fan to run full blast soon as the system gets 12v..
What if you kept the 5v wire in the consol and did everything the same as in this video but taped a second wire into the 5v with a switch in it (button probably would be easiest) and attached it to the 12v enable Pin and pressed the switch at the same time you turned the xbox on. Im guessing youd have to press the switch twice real fast to stop the new 5v wire so its not having 5v and 12 v at the same time
hey brother i know its dumb and it's like 2024 but i need your help regarding my Xbox so if you see this comment please reply !!!

bonjour j'ai suivi les instructions et ...impeccable cela fonctionne parfaitement bien ...un grand merci !😅😊😊😊
For the last comment it won’t heard the Xbox. It was just short to ground.
You're a fucking legend dude. I knew i didn't need some bullshit official power supply. I just needed to know where to put the 12v and 5v
My way is different i had the psu it just doesnt work so i cut the cable stripped it and did the pinout to the atx psu
Attach green psu wire to the black psu wire then attach them both to black in the power cable

For those that have an Xbox one it might work if the Xbox does not have a protection
Do I plug in the 5V input with a 12v?
Can I use two Power supplies, a 5V and a 12V? If yes, can I connect the minuses of the power supplies together?
life saver. thx bro
Thank you brother I appreciate it.
This guy is a hero❤
thank you very much, said it can work on the xbox one?
Amazing! Tanks from Brazil
Im trying do with a Xbox arcade, maybe work
Will this work for the Xbox One? Has an identical port to it
Good way to hurt yourself too lol.
But I need one for a 175w old xbox.
Hey I have one email me at undeadstate3414@gmail.com
But if in that case, it will just shut off the power supply

Can you make a tutorial on what wired you need to cut or strip

Só americano mesmo, aqui no Brasil não se encontra ninguém que faça igual ou diferente ensinando algo do tipo 😢
what in the house fire please just get a power pack
The 5 volts for the ports right
Me: xbox 360 super slim 😢
X2
Trying this with a 12 volt battery but can’t seem to get it working
If need be, I will prove it
Will it work for Xbox One
Shit caused a power surge😂😂

Straight or if it’s made at a 90% angle
Man you rules

Just a heads up it won’t hurt the Xbox. It was just short out to ground.

Como sustituto rapido sirve pero para permanrntr esta muy cumplicado mejor consigan una original
nice
Do that for Xbox one plz
It actually works 😂🎉
can i do this on my xbox one?
Yes it might be a little different though I don't know
Just buy a new cord, they are cheap and not as dangerous as this
Does this work for Xbox one ?
I guess if it doesn’t have a protected connection
hey man my power supply blew while trying
No don't do this
El cable negativo es el de -12v o el de -5v
