Yes, I love homeschooling the RC way. Can't see myself doing it any other way. I still like watching that old video with Dr. Robinson giving his story.
Learning more about RC has really helped our homeschool. We're not purists, but coming out of CM purist and constantly feeling frantic and strapped for time, just going at our own paces has made things much more enjoyable and peaceful. I knew about RC for years but never really looked into it until I saw your videos. Thank you, Karen! ❤
@mycrazyfamilyid I really appreciate you sharing this. I have really considered CM methods, but it's really felt very overwhelming even with all the CM based curriculums out there.
Does the RC align with a particular homeschooling philosophy, or a have similarities with a specific philosophy, such as Charlotte Mason or Classical approach? Self-education is also part of Mason’s approach that many Mason curriculum lack. Thanks!
There are probably some overlaps with many such as living books, classics, but I wouldn’t say it’s like any other. I have a video series on the Robinson Curriculum channel where I compare them to each of the popular styles.
My question is, with a buffet of a book list, that is read one at a time; how does this work for high school transcripts when a label to the history studied is needed? Like American, or World…. This makes curriculum that is grouped by time period understandable, so I want to understand how this works with RC.
Another option is to have a "spine book" that they read a few chapters of once a week and then spend the rest of the week reading from the RC list. Their RC writing assignment could be writing about those chapters or answering review questions if the book has a study guide. Just some ideas. :)
This is my question too! I’m switching to RC but have been endlessly researching transcripts and required subjects for high school. I’d love to dive into RC but I’m concerned about checking boxes. Any more detailed advice???

Yes, I’ve watched that countless times too, it’s always encouraging.

In a given year they will very likely cover books in all the required categories or you could alter the order a bit to make it so.

With the rays arithmetic included, is that just the books or does it included workbooks that go with the books? Thank you
Pretty sure the workbooks were created for the Rays, but are not required to do Rays the way it was intended to be used.
Yes, exactly. Really all you need with them is a blank notebook.
Thank you both!
i can’t get to the 13 part series on the curriculum itself. can you send me or repost the link?
It’s all here on RUclips under recent downloads
Did you update the 13 part videos ?
Not the actual videos but graphics/user portal.
