- I'm proud to present you "Higher". A rock/prog/funk/art/orchestral song. George and I feel that this is the best track on the record.
This is a conceptual song that describes 3 phases of domestic violence and rape. Phase one starts with kinky voice of a father in verses, phase 2 is little girl screaming in chorus.
Phase 3 is asking "why is she the victim" that comes after a magnificent guitar solo from Lynch and "dying" which happens with the last chord of the song.
My strongest lyrical and music work lies in conceptual and prog songs (people that listened to my solo record I did in 2014 know that) I wrote so far.
If you're a fan of Steven Wilson, Led Zeppelin, Ayreon, Genesis, Badlands, Dream Theater... , this is for ya. Enjoy.

I first heard this guy about 5yrs ago, I told everyone who had ears that this kid is the most gifted Heavy Metal/Hard Rock vocalist to hit the scene since the days of Plant, Gillian, Dio, Halford.
His ability to mix the vocal styles of Dio/Coverdale, with a bit of Dickinson and Hetfield thrown in just because he can.
I even listen to the music he released in his native language, Croatian.
Dino Jelusic is the absolute best vocalist in Rock music today.

WOW Dino! I'm a 63 year old Metalhead... and I thought I had heard it all and the days of power metal were long gone and the great singers with it.... An hour ago I listened to Jeff Scott Soto/Sons of Apollo (I saw Jeff with Yngwie) and you singing with Jeff... then went on a musical journey that refreshed my soul. You have amazing talent and a one of a kind voice. Such a pleasure to my ears! Amazing to hear a real singer amongst the grunting demon vocals that they call Metal now. Thank you!

I recently went down the @Dino Jelusick 'rabbit hole' as well & agree with everything you said. Haven't been this enthused about music in a very long time. No, this is a truly horrible song about child abuse and rape.
What I love is that he’s having fun while doing it. That’s great because if you forget to enjoy the process, it ends up flat and lifeless. Excellent work!

When I first heard this song the part when you say "and get on my ..." I thought it was just a sexy lyric (which piqued my interest cause I think you're absolutely gorgeous & I wouldn't mind doing that lol wink wink) but now knowing what it actually means, it really hits home for me as a survivor of domestic violence. You've been graced with many gifts as a writer, composer, musician, vocalist (and impeccable at ALL of those things) which means you're a TRUE METAL GOD!! Yeah, this version is actually reduced from the original one, the label didn't want the 1st version where I pretty music only did talking deep voice on the verses and I even screamed in the end of the song to really paint a picture through vocals.

Could possibly be some of the best guitar work in George Lynch's career. That solo is wicked.
If I didn't know it was George playing no one would ever associate his playing style with former band Dokken. His style is completely different, very fresh and flowing in sync with Dino's singing. It's like they're melded together.

I disagree,. It lacks some serious RIFFS,.It's super professional but NOWHERE near Lynch's best work,.Maybe you were dropped by your babysitter when your parents went out on a date?
I get that Lynch is old so I don't expect his best shyte,.So I'm content,.But the singing is better than the guitar
Another spectacular performance from Dino that reminds me of Oni on the Lynch Mob debut album...but even more of the late, great Ray Gillen at his very best.

OMG! Dino is killer on this one. George's work already speaks for itself but this is Dino at his best. Sounds a lot like Ray Gillen of Badlands fame of the early 90's. Such raw energy and passion, and when that chorus kicks in, oh my! Get the the women and children outta the room!

This totally resonates...through my own experience and that of my siblings. Thank you Dino for giving a voice to those who for so long have been forcibly struck silent.
First, musically and all the way around, this is fantastic! Your vocals are absolutely stunning. Expressive in all the right ways (not like those that try to simply impress - it's all in service to the song and takes you places and through THAT ...is impressive!). Hope this makes sense. Regardless, as a liver of so many amazing vocalists, I can say, you have blown me sway and jumped to the upper echelons and truly have moved me! And the harmonies on "I Disappear" whoa!
