You don't need funny voices or mom jokes to rustle jimmies, just mention sharkbite and it'll ruin any plumber's day
Previous homeowner used sharkbite for years and never leaked. He used Pex pipe instead and it stuck to the sharkbite.
Sharkbites fail because of poor installation, not the actual product itself. I have a few in my house and they work well.
True!
Shark bite fittings should never be used in walls!!!!!!!!!
I have shark bite fittings for six years in the wall, No leaks.
@@2323hermanI've done apartment maintenance for 7 years now. You're on borrowed time with sharkbites
Depending on the application, Can you leave an access panel to access the connection is needed? For example: installing a frost free spigot where the supply lines are run in a finished basement wall?
😂 I laughed so hard
I know some who had them for 15 years without any problems, you must be a plumber lol.
dont bury a damn sharkbite
Seriously
Don’t cold weather them at all.
don’t install shark bites underground guys
👍
They are not meant for outdoor usage!
Tape already coming off
Those are so easy to use. So far that are the ones I feel comfortable with.
Every plumber loves to hear a potential customer has shark bite fittings. It means a lot of billable hours fixing a lot of leaking fittings 🤣
I’ve used sharkbites for 15 years. No leaks
Yeah, I've heard they're unreliable and prone to leaking.
They’re reliable as long as they’re installed properly
No plumber wants to loose their gravy. Sharkbite snd pex has made plumbing more accessible than ever
HVAC tech was the only guy to put a damn sharkbite fitting in my house. I solder everything.
plumbers are seething right now
Never ever should you hide shark bites in walls, floors ceilings or even underground. Don’t be this guy
I use them for exposed areas since you guys got me spectacle 😂😂
I dont understand why people talk junk on shark bites iv installed a lot of them and never had one leak to this day
Thanks a lot for sharing your knowledge with us, I'm not a plumber but I like doing things myself, and I had to renovate part of my house that used to have all the water installation and distribution pipes, what happened is I replaced the main water line (copper) coming from outside the house with another one the same size 1.5mm, no leaks detected instead of two corners now there are 6 corners, the issue is the water pressure dropped in all the house, but specifically on the upper floor, I don't know what happened since all the pipelines I replaced with others with the same size and I don't see a reason why the pressure dropped, do you think it is because of the corners I added to the line to fit?
“Hey boy, I catch you using that on my jobsite boy” -every RUclips plumber
Great Job. Thanks!!
Thank you too!
Thumbs of if you can tell me how to disconnect when the pipe was cut flush to the fitting
I literally just went to Lowe’s and bought a shark bite tee and now I’m getting video suggestions on shark bite🤔
Crazy world huh?
I do love shark bite though👍🏻🇺🇸
@@dannmann17 Yes!
There is a massive trend of, the over use of the word "Exact" ... (& swap "out" while at it)
what torch would you recommend for inverted use? was thinking about one's with a hose but don't know what brand is good so suggestions would be appreciated.
Bernzomatic makes a good kit with the hoses.
is it bad if the stiffener is removed from the sharkbite
Stiffeners required for plastic pipes.
Don’t you ever use em underground! Who tf is this guy?
Why would you rely on 100 o rings to not leak
You drive a car? 100% of cars use O-rings with pressurized gasoline lines. Are you concerned the O-ring will leak and your car will explode?
Job security
These are great for plumbers. When they corrode or get to cold and blow apart it tends to happen after hrs and we make a lot of money repairing blown apart pipes that have caused thousands of dollars worth of damage. We take a lot of pictures and laugh with our coworkers at the shop later
Never use a sharkbite in the ground!! Real plumbers don't use sharkbites
And and and channel.
Sharkbites are for homeowners and emergency situations only. If your "plumber" shows up and wants to use a bunch of junkbites youre asking for heartache. Where i live you Will fail inspection for using these in a wall or under ground.
you can use them in ohio but not underground
State your local municipality and the code violation please
Not only emergencies lol, i know people who had them for 15 years, i saw tests and sharkbites are stronger against frost than copper pipes.
What if your plumber shows uo and wants to use 50/50 solder and not 95/5?
