However, American McDonald's meat is heavily processed and ground up to the point where is a goop, If you search up McDonald's Pink slime, you'll understand, It's also where the common misconception that American chicken nuggets aren't real chicken comes from. Chemically, the Pink goop is 100% real chicken, But the process it's made with, in my personal opinion is pretty disgusting, and it causes the meat to be a lot softer. Japan has more strict health regulations and just uses genuine peices of chicken breast for their nuggets rather then grinding it all up.

I haven't been to Japan but I did eat at McDonald's in Odessa Ukraine. Tasted just like home. The one BIG difference was the packets of ketchup. I love ketchup and asked for 10 or 12 packets. The girl's eyes nearly popped out of her head and then asked, "Really?!" I didn't understand her shock at my request until she pulled some packets from under the counter. 1 of their packets was equal to roughly 5 here in the US and if memory serves each packet cost an extra 10 cents. @me • 5y ago Actually both are real meat.
