The Boys is essentially a gritty take on superheroes being "realistic" AKA every superhero in the show is not so secretly a murder-happy psychopath with a mega corporation trying to sell the positive image to the public
Really bizarre that that's how they perceive as "realistic". I think "realistic superheroes" and I think of stuff like how Bruce Wayne devotes billions to trying to fight corruption in the system and still has minimal impact in changing anything because for all his money he's still only one man, even while being a symbol of justice that people would rather have as a symbol than change anything about society. That's my gritty realism.
@@BJGvideos No its pretty realistic cause bruce wayne has a solid motivation to actually want to save people. Realistically a person with super powers could pick up a super hero image with a corperate entity backing them and then just be an absolute asshole while doing good here or there to keep it up. Real people are much worse then comic heroes and its a good thing super powers don't exist.
@@banrajanand7983 And then you'd have people who want to do good fighting those people so I don't see how "they're all secretly evil" is in any way realistic.
@@BJGvideos its not they are all secretly evil to begin with cause the world isn't that two dimensional bruh. They all think they are good guys, everyone does not just cause they think they are right but taking homelander for an example they genuinely believe they are doing good being Ignoramus to the negative impact they are having. In a real life situation with super powers, there won't be just good and evil people cause real world isnt a cartoon. There will be people who use it for their own ends not out of spite of others or selfish nature but to keep themselfs afloat or well off without intentionally keeping others down, there will be those who hide it to be more normal, discrimination against those who do and don't have powers, limits on them, laws, specific jobs... so on and so forth. The real world isn't black and white with good and evil, grow up.
The reason why they weren't sued by DC was because "The Boys" started off as a comic series. It's currently owned by Dynamite Entertainment but used to be owned by WildStorm Comics, a publishing imprint of DC Comics who's technically their parenting company. So from a certain point-of-view, The Boys used to be owned by DC, which is why they weren't sued by copyright infringement like you mentioned.
Fr dude The Boys season 3 is coming out this summer? Hell yeah, season 1 and 2 were so good but I didn't think they would continue after season 2, glad I was wrong.
Why is there a laser baby? Because they found one in the show. Although Butcher didn't walk off with them. As for why the baby could shoot lasers from their eyes, that goes into plot spoilers. That said in the first episode Starlight claims to of been born super enabled in her interview video when trying to join the Seven.
The whole joke about them being out of character is that Vought International was basically threatening Death Battle to hype up The Seven and not talk about the murders they’re responsible for
Fun fact: This episode was sponsored and done to commemorate the release of Amazon's "The Boys" Season 2. That's why it's so different from other Death Battles. Also, "The Boys" is based on a comic book of the same name. 12:15 That's Stormfront, The Seven's newest member... and is basically a Nazi. Just don't call her that to her face. Congratulations, you're over halfway done with Season 7. And again, I'm going to give you a list for each Death Battle in Season 7, not counting the episodes you already watch, like this one. So if you are going to skip any of these, this will make sure you don't skip too many. By now you should at least be aware of the episodes not included in your playlist. I hope you wrote it down. If not, WRITE IT DOWN! Winter Soldier VS Red Hood, Venom VS Crona, Sabrewuld VS Jon Talbain, Red VS Blue, Batgirl VS Spider-Gwen, Sanji VS Rock Lee, and Hulk VS Broly.

the boys is really really popular, so doing this sponsor didn't really catch most of the fandom off guard at all. At the time this video came out, Noir had yet to do anything in the TV show, and using any of his comic book feats would have been massive spoilers. Obviously normally spoilering means jack shit for a Death Battle and is always okay, but this episode was sponsored by the TV show so they couldn't exactly go there. That's why they had him hang out with Wiz and Boomstick instead.
@@theduckgoesmoo what we mainly have going for us is low cost of living. Rentals for like $1,200.00 a month for like a 3-4 bedroom house is nothing to scoff at.
The Boys is definitely a trip worth taking. Though with both it and Invincible being Amazon Prime series it makes Jeff Bezos look pretty sketchy as the bald richest man in the world hosting two TV shows about Evil Superman equivalents. Are we SURE his real name isn't Lex Luthor?
Finally finished season 2. There is a difference between a parody and a deconstruction. The Boys has elements of both, but more falls into the latter category. I don't know how many super hero shows or movies you watch, but there is often a lot of collateral damage in their battles, especially with the more powerful supers like Superman, who can smash through building like they are made of cardboard. While this can look cool, there would often be people in there and super hero shows and movies rarely show the consequences of such battles. They wouldn't be able to get away with flat out using the Justice League, but these characters are different enough that they can get away with. As you noticed they have their own versions of the holy trinity, Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman, as well as other regular members like The Flash and Aquaman. I can't actually think of who Translucent is meant to be an expy of, if he even is one. Granted the only supers I can think of who are most famous for turning invisible are female and have force fields. The world of The Boy the superheroes aren't paragons of virtue like in a lot of comics. They all have their flaws and not just gritty anti-hero types. They make mistakes and can be quite reckless. They talked about this in the video with A-Train killing Hughie's girlfriend Robin. If you had even watched the trailers for the show you know Robin dies, since it is her death that kicks off the plot. Billy Blucher soon recruits Hughie, telling him how many people we lose every year due to superhero collateral damage. That is the basic plot of the show. I was surprised Black Noir didn't join the fight, but this could be due to his lack of combat scenes. We rarely see him fight compared to the others and when we do his battles typically end quickly. I hadn't read the comics this was based on, but the TV version seems to have a different power set, to the point where it isn't made clear what his power is. He also doesn't talk. Translucent is in a similar boat, as we didn't see him in action to much and he might of been the weakest member of the team.
Basically, take everything you know about the superhero genre and beat the living hell out of it with a crowbar (Otherwise known ad the Jason Todd treatment). That's pretty much what The Boys is. And Invincible for that matter. Both are available to be seen on Amazon Prime Video. Well worth watching, in my view.
To answer the question, kilogram, or Kg, is a measurement of weight used all over the world, with the exception of English countries, it is equivalent to a little less than half a pounds, for example, 500 kg is Equivalent to 1100 pounds, I hope I have helped you with the doubt.
A very strange, arbitrary, and sponsored battle, this one. The conclusion goes completely against the core rule upon which Death Battle is built and the winner was a total outsider who wasn't even on the thumbnail, so obviously this is meant to be taken as some sort of odd joke and a giant advertisement for the show. Not my thing, but enjoyable to some. A kilogram is about 2.2 US lbs.
I'm going to have to watch this later. I only got Prime recently for Vox Machina and I'm binging The Boys. I'm sure there will be spoilers. Speaking of which, if you have Prime I do recommend watching The Legend of Vox Machina. I'm sure you'd love it.
